Please join us for a Karma Yoga class at Treetop Yoga (3A Pond Road Gloucester, MA 01930) on Wednesday, Oct. 4th, 7:15-8:30 pm to benefit Wellspring’s Holiday Store! Sharon Esker will be leading an uplifting and interactive vinyasa class for all levels and ages. We will end with a relaxing savasana and cucumber-mint water refreshments.Â
Each December, for one weekend before the holidays, Wellspring is stocked with donated toys, books and gift cards for eligible low-income parents to shop by appointment for their children. Last holiday season, Wellspring’s Holiday Store served 854 children from 394 homeless and low-income families on Cape Ann and the surrounding communities, providing tremendous financial relief at a time of year when the need is greatest. That’s over 1500 gifts! Books, toys and especially gifts for teens (or gift cards) are greatly needed as we rely on donations to make this program a success.

Ayurveda is a natural system of health and wellbeing and the sister-science to yoga. It originated in India thousands of years ago.
As a Complementary and Alternative Medicine Ayurveda can support your health needs in various ways. Ayurveda uses diet, herbal remedies, lifestyle tools and body therapies to establish health in body and mind.
Like Chinese medicine, Ayurveda is based on the five elements of nature. They are earth, air, fire, water and ether. According to Ayurveda, these elements are present in our environment around us as well as within us.
Good health is a state of balance of these five elements. Maintaining balance is the key and that involves many things. Your diet, lifestyle, relationships and habitat are all factors which can affect your natural state of balance. If you know your body type you can create a healthy lifestyle and greater well being.

One of our favorite services to provide at Saltwater Massage Studio is prenatal massage therapy (fancy lingo for massage during pregnancy).  We have had the pleasure of supporting many Cape Ann women throughout the duration of their pregnancy and it is always so fun and special to be part of that journey.  Last week, 3 of our clients gave birth and we couldn’t be happier to welcome these sweet little babies into the world!!
When we expanded last April, we upgraded our massage tables to higher-end tables equipped with a removable insert (aka “belly hole”) that allows women to comfortably and safely lie on their stomach during their massage session.  Most women view this as an incredible gift, especially in the last 10-12 weeks of pregnancy when it becomes harder and harder to find a comfortable sleeping position.
Prenatal Massage helps address the inevitable aches and pains that come along…

Art Haven has been providing art education to the Cape Ann community for nine years. From classes and summer programs, to Open Studios and our annual Buoy Painting and Tree Lighting, we’ve had fun creating and making art together! Now, we’re excited to announce some great new changes.
Starting October 1, we will be running all of our awesome art programming out of the Art Haven space at 180 Main Street. Our daytime classes will be focused on elementary through middle school kids, and the evenings geared toward teens and adults.
We are remodeling to make our studios more open & and efficient, with plenty of space for everyone to come in and create.
By moving the Hive programs to our Art Haven space we are able to focus our resources on expanding our community program offerings in an environment that enhances collaboration and synergies between the age groups.
This new model will…

WHAT IS A PERSONAL REVOLUTION, AND WHY DO WE NEED ONE?
“Many of us are searching without knowing exactly what we are looking for. Some of us go on a diet to lose weight and try all kinds of programs and workshops to make ourselves feel better, or perhaps we throw ourselves into our work and seek wealth and status to fill the void, but underneath, an emotional emptiness remains. No matter how much we try to gloss over that yearning with temporary fixes, it is still there, whispering the truth: that what we need isn’t another quick fix, but rather a rebirth – a whole-life revolution. ”

Cape Ann Power Yoga studio owner and one of the leaders of our 40 Day Program – Elizabteh DeAngelis assisting a Global Summit of Baptiste yoga teachers in Park City, Utah…
