Coyote in middle of our Vernal pond 11:35am 10/21/13

Since our Vernal pond is very low at this time of year we get a lot of land based and flying visitors.
Today we had two Healthy looking Coyote’s. Blaze didn’t see them until they noticed me. I got one shot off with my Galaxy phone before they took off..

REPENT! All YE SINNERS!

Salem is Rocking this month. It’s a lot of fun walking around and seeing all the people who get into the spirit of the time. But of course there’s always someone who wants to ruin it for all the others.

Found on the Hard Drive Plein Air Painting 2007

Found on the Hard Drive Plein Air Painting 2007

Randy from Florida put out a call on the message board “Wetcanvas” back in 2007 to find someone to paint with in New England. His Daughter was invited to take a class at Harvard so he would have some time on his hands to paint.

I invited him to Gloucester to go painting. We ended up at Loblolly Cove in Rockport. We had a good time painting the area. Randy painted some Houses on his right and I painted Straitsmouth Island when a red lobster boat came just in time to be part of my painting.

I sold my painting at EJ’s Gallery a couple of years ago.

I love painting outside but I try to find a place where there’s low people traffic. I’m a little shy when it comes to painting outside. We had a great day and the Rockport Police only charged me $25.00 to park. 🙂

The Seconds are Ticking Away!

The Seconds are Ticking Away!

Ever wonder when you will; Bite the dust, kick the can, take the dirt nap, etc.

Below are my results. I’m sure there are people who want no part of knowing when they will pass. I have no problem with knowing. I think it’s a good idea to get a heads up. This way you know when to Max out your Credit cards.

I can live with 72 but 80 would be better. I guess I will have to quit smoking those little cigars, stop eating pop tarts, stop drinking coffee, etc…

Happy No Bra Day! 10/13/2013

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month people are coming up with unique ways to celebrate and support the cause, or in this case support the cause without support. today is being deemed by many, “No Bra Day.”

After doing a little research into what could have become my favorite day of the year after my birthday, I found that there is an actual National No Bra Day in on July 9th. That means that this is just some made up day, most likely by a guy who is in need of seeing some breasts covered only by shirts rather than bras and shirts.

People all over social media are buying into it, and it is fine by me… Raise awareness for a good cause, and have a little fun doing it!

The photo at the top of this post is facing eastward before dawn this morning, on this Astronomy Day.  The bright object above the tree is Jupiter.  You can also see the constellation Orion at the lower right of this photo, which is by EarthSky Facebook friend Stacy Oliver Bryant.  Thanks, Stacy!  On this special day, astronomy enthusiasts reach out to the public to share the wonders of the universe.  Follow the links below to learn about some night sky objects and events you can see on or around this Astronomy Day, October 12, 2013.”

Two years already?

It’s been two years since we lost Paul.

Here’s the story in case you missed it: Union Leader Hero Award

Paul’s FaceBook Page: Paul the III

This from Paul’s Mom;

“Funny how life works    2 years ago was the saddest day of my life, last year on Pauls 1st anniversary we were blessed with our new nephew Tommy who brought so much joy to our family and this year on Pauls 2nd anniversary we bring my Dad home, healthy, from rehab after a terrible fall with a head injury , Oct 10th– bittersweet.”

Paul Frontiero III, you are an inspiration to us all and will be forever loved, missed and thought about.”

From Kathryn Libby, one of the Girls Paul Saved;

“Two years ago today an angel gave his life to save mine. His name was Paul Frontiero. If I could make the world yell hallelujah, I would.”
