Johnny Bluehorn @ The Rhumb Line Thursday Feb. 20th, 8:30pm Dave Sag Blues Party!

poster by Louise Welch

Thursday night! Welcome back Mr. Johnny “Bluehorn” Morricone. The fastest gun in the west; Ma.,that is. All the way from Woosta! It’s always a blast having him raise the stakes. He brings such a great sense of joy to the stage. Beltin’ out melodies on his blue trumpet and crooning a la’ Bingh Crosbee when necessary. Plus Blobby Gus, a truly authentic Jimmy Johnson acolyte will be scratchin’ that gootar. And Ed Scheer will be doin’ drum dooties and begging the question and the tip jar. Don’t miss this ~ DS

My Musical Guest: SAL BAGLIO!

The unbelievable, one and only Sal Baglio (of Stompers fame)
comes to the Rhumb Line this week as my oh-so special guest.
Y’wanna talk about positive energy? Well, I’ve always said, this
guy rocks your skull off. He’s been all over the world doin’ his
incredible thing, and we just happen to be lucky enough to have
him here on our tiny little island. Rumor has it that longtime friend
and musical soulmate, Allen Estes may join the evening’s “Flystivities”
(Sal’s word). This doesn’t happen very often (in fact, it’s a first), so
don’t even think of doing anything silly like staying home and watching
something on TV that you can otherwise record and watch at a later
date. This is frickin’ SAL BAGLIO! OKAY? OKAY. ~ Fly

Dan King joins Fly Amero Tonight as his musical guest @ The Rhumb Line 7-10pm 2.5.2020

Dinner Specials Each Week!
Wednesday, February 5… 7pm start

My Musical Guest: DAN KING!

Here in the wake of the NFL’s biggest day, I feel it noteworthy to mention our good friend, Dan King (pictured here with his former (and much, much older) coach, has in fact been in a Super Bowl of his own – that as a member of Gloucester High’s famous and historic Fightin’ Fishermen.  The place was Foxboro’s then Sullivan Stadium.  The year was, I believe, 1987.  But, you can ask him for details yourself when you get to the Rhumb Line this Wednesday at 7pm.  And, guess what?  You can also have a great, great time listening to him do his cool, cool thang. Rah-rah!  Go Fishermen! ~ Fly

Liz Frame joins Fly Amero this Wednesday 7pm @ The Rhumb Line 1.29.2020

Dinner Specials Each Week!
Wednesday, January 29… 7pm start
My Musical Guest: LIZ FRAME!

When it comes to singing, songwriting and overall live performance,
this gifted artist delivers a knock-out punch every single time. The
one and only Liz Frame returns for this week’s Rhumb Line Wednesday
show. She and I have become fast friends over the years since brother
J.B. urged me to bring her into our little fold. Through that period of time,
I was able to join on one of her fundraisers and she, along with her band
The Kickers, was able to open for one of my Orleans shows. To put it
simple, we just “get” each other. Time to start taking advantage of this
unusually warm January by coming out for the really GOOD stuff. Who
knows what cold, cold spring may yet again be in store? ~ Fly

Dave Sag
“Thursday at the Rhummie: A-Train Orchestra! That’s the genetic father/son combo of Rick Razdan and his genius son Alek. With many more surprises. folks, we’re gonna have a great time screwing around with some tin pan alley toons, some blooze and much Alek Razdan-inspired jazzy madness. Quite a few sit-ins are expected, too. Beside Rick and Fils, expect to see Dan Wailin’ play guitar and Dan of A-lex fame on drums. Hours 830 to 930.”
