Gloucester Stage Company Earns Multiple Elliot Norton AwardsFollowing Record-Breaking 14 Nominations

Gloucester, MA – Gloucester Stage Company received five Elliot Norton Awards at the 43rd Annual Elliot Norton Awards ceremony held Monday evening at the Huntington Theatre in Boston, following a record-setting fourteen nominations across multiple productions during the company’s 2025 season.

The recognition further solidifies Gloucester Stage’s growing reputation as one of Greater Boston’s leading midsize theater companies, with nominations spanning acting, directing, design, and production categories.

Gloucester Stage award recipients included:

Gloucester Stage received nominations across three productions — The Glass Menagerie, The Garbologists, and No Child… — reflecting the company’s commitment to producing work that is artistically ambitious, emotionally resonant, and deeply connected to contemporary audiences.

This comes as Gloucester Stage launches its 2026 season with the regional premiere of Bad Books by Sharyn Rothstein, followed by Harold Pinter’s Betrayal, the world premiere of Dalloway: First Love, and the regional premiere of Moon Man Walk by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright James Ijames.
