City Of Gloucester Public Works Blizzard Messages

In Preparation for the predicted Heavy Snow & High WindsNational Grid is actively monitoring the upcoming “Nor-easter” scheduled to impact the local area late Friday night through Saturday. All residents and businesses: Please report all outages to National Grid Customer Service or Outage Reporting hotlines (provided below). Every phone call received is logged into their outage tracking system and better enables Natl Grid to pinpoint the location of the issue. The sooner they can identify the location of the issue, the quicker they can respond.·

Electric Customer Service: (800) 322-3223·

Outage Reporting Hotline: (800) 465-1212·

Natural Gas Customer Service: (800) 640-1595

As a reminder, wind speeds in excess of 35 mph limit the ability to operate bucket trucks at elevated heights, which in turn hampers the ability to complete some restorations until safe to do so. Please be patient and stay safe.

May be an image of text that says 'With the snow and astronomical tides anticipated this weekend, storm drains that are not cleared can lead to streets flooding. Our crews will be working but residents can help by clearing out storm drains near their homes so melting snow and rain can make it into our storm water system instead of staying on streets. Even just a shovel-width of space allows the drains to function and prevent street flooding'
