Pingree

We are often coming in hot to hockey, but I love when the stars align and we play at Pingree School in Hamilton…and have a chance to walk the campus.  Finn loves to walk the pond and look for frogs and fish.  We all love to look at the amazing art installations that they place around campus.  Here are just a few photos from a spare five minutes the other day.  I’m hoping to find more time this month to appreciate the rest!

We are excited to share the news about our tenth annual Flying Horse Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit, the largest display of its kind in New England, featuring more than 50 works by artists from as nearby as Hamilton and as far away as Africa.

Pingree is proud to be the only school in the country to host such an exhibit for its students and the public, a statement of the school’s commitment to civic engagement and to art as a vehicle to question and engage in dialogue about issues of substance and meaning. Moreover, at Pingree, we believe that art should be accessible to all and that living amidst art enhances the quality and substance of life. That is why our exhibit is free and open to the public seven days a week.

The show will open on September 1 and continue through November 30, extended this year to allow visitors to enjoy during the Thanksgiving break.
