omg, its true. it really happened. we had a cottage at Long Beach in 67.I remember hearing my mother say to someone “they have a mobster on Thacher Island and he is singing like a bird”. I was not familiar with that term in my youth and I imagined him doing an imitation of a canary. I couldn’t understand why such an event would take place. As time passed, I wondered if I just remembered this incorrectly. That went on for years until now!
