At about the same time Melissa and I were driving back from a two grandson hockey game in Haverhill. As we left the rink it started with hail. I figured it would be best to get closer to the warm ocean so headed east on 495 to take 95 south to 133 at Georgetown. It cleared immediately and the sun came out, then it snowed. Then it cleared as we turned south on 95. Then as we headed toward Essex on 133 I saw a wicked black cloud off to the south west. I remarked that it looked to be aiming for the Manchester Athletic Club where her car was parked. Sure enough, as we pulled in off School St, the world darkened and the snow came down. I have seen such days racing boats off England and Ireland, but never such wild rapid changes around here.
