Gloucester, MA – The Cape Ann YMCA is excited to announce that it is enrolling for its new
Early Learning Center at 67 Middle Street, adjacent to the Y. The newly renovated center offers
an innovative learning and development curriculum while providing enrichment programming
like swimming, gymnastics and sports activities. Children will build confidence and make friends
in a safe nurturing environment led by certified instructors. The bright, open space offers ample
room for learning and playing for children 15 months to 5 years old with low staff-to-child ratios
and is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care.
Tim Flaherty, Executive Director of the Cape Ann YMCA said, “The Y is committed to youth
development, healthy living and social responsibility and in that spirit, it is so important for us to
be a resource for families while broadening our programming to meet the needs of our
community. By offering early education opportunities, we continue to support our parents and
families in their day-to-day life and in turn strengthen the community as a whole.”
The Cape Ann YMCA is committed to nurturing the potential of every child as they begin their
journey to become lifelong learners. The new Early Learning Center will provide a safe,
supportive environment which strives to meet each child’s developmental needs in a setting that
encourages active learning. Children will receive guidance and support from a warm, caring
staff and engage in learning through open-ended activities. Experienced instructors will
encourage children to learn and play as they build essential early language, social and motor
skills in a healthy, nurturing environment.
