My View of Life on the Dock

We have two small beaches in downtown Rockport, the more popular “Front Beach” — and this one, “Back Beach”. This picture is as much about clouds as the beach. I love clouds!
We did some research on the desk that I bought a couple of weeks ago. It is a Governor Winthrop as many of you identified and was probably built in the 1920’s. Because it is not in its original state, it has lost its value other than as a nice piece of furniture.
So we began sanding the part that had filler, but found that the wood grain in that area is vertical instead of horizontal like the rest of the surface. I’m not sure how to recreate the grain so that the wood will be somewhat uniform for staining.
Any ideas? Thanks! —–Sharon

I’ve gone to Spring Training every year since they’ve opened City Of Palms Park in Ft Myers. Even though I think it’s a gorgeous facility and not too old- opened in 1992 they will be relocating next year closer to Naples.

One of the things I love about going to Spring Training every year is how close to the players you get and how theres a super friendly atmosphere in City Of Palms Park.
