Well, it’s supposed to rain all day. I’ve got a million things to do in the house, so being forced inside will make me be more productive. There are 2 rooms that definitely need a pick-up- and- sort and another that needs a bulldozer. So that’s what I’ll be tackling today. But I’ll put on some good music and stay in my jammies, and maybe later I’ll make chili. Actually looking forward to a stay-in day! How about you? What’re your rainy day plans?

Ha! Sounds like you live in my place. When you are finished over there, head west on 90 for a couple hours, got some work for you over here.
Been up since 6AM, late for Gloucester folk, I know. Helped wife, daughter, sister and niece shake off the cob-webs and head down to hell….at least hell for me…the American Girl Doll Spa in Manhattan, via CT to pick up lil sis and another niece. My wife is saint, or masochist, or both.
Sitting in the garage on the birdseed bucket, listening to NPR, smoking cigar, fox terrier on my sandalled feet, not believing the weathermen. Alas, the lawns were mown, hedges trimmed, and cooler stocked in yesterdays glorious weather here in Castleton, NY, so nothing else to do but wait for a civilized time to crack the first frosty, and watch the rain clouds disappear.
I LOVE your site, its my sunshine on a cloudy day, and just reaffirms my lust for everything Gloucester; warts, lobster, Filleys, and all.

I’m doing a closet overhaul and plan to spend the day in my sewing room mending and cutting out a couple new patterns.
Then, when I get tired of that, it’s back to book editing, the never-ending project….
Then it’s martini time.

We rode those 2 hours west on 90 ( then back again!) yesterday to Amherst for Family Day at UMass. Long day but a pretty ride. So that’s why I’m catching up today before the work week begins again.

Watching the wee one, doing laundry, going over gutter estimates, doing actual paid work (to pay for said gutter work), cooking to stock the freezer. All while I I just want to curl up under the covers with a good book or movie and snore loudly. What happened to my weekends?

Baby shower for a friend and then finishing up cooking contest and Topsfield Fair entries and typing out the recipes! Currently have attempt #4 of what should be a perfect cake going in the oven right now! Yummm….smelling good in here!

Just finished 2 posts for tomorrow as well as switching all the parts on two computers. Space-bagged clothes and vacuumed. Still could use another day for re-organizing my life, but, oh well, another week begins!
