That’s the amount of hours I conservatively estimate we’ve spent searching for The Bean’s blankie (she calls it her night-night or Lola).  It’s getting close to when we will have to seperate her from the ratty blankie she loves so much and believe me I’m dreading that day like none other.  For now though, every time we leave the house we have to go searching high and low for that blankie.  Oy!

  1. When my son was small, I remember driving back to Medford after a family gathering. We were already in Gloucester. Ahh the Blanky!!

  2. Grandkid #1 has her “soft” which I believe is presently residing at UMass. There isn’t an estimated time of separation here, Joey!

Just let her hang onto it for as long as she needs to

  4. Count your blessings. A zillion years ago we attempted to separate one son from his (filthy…not allowed to mess with the sacred smell…) blankie by switching it with a “big boy” sesame street sleeping bag…Guess which would have been easier to haul around for the following many, many years…?

  5. My 10 year old daughter still sleeps with her blankie, the fleece on it is long gone, so it’s more like a thin piece of fabric now. She’s misplaced it so many times, and always right before bed, not a good situation. Now she’s smart and it never leaves her room unless she’s sleeping out!
