Pet of The Week

Pet of the Week
My name is Brutus and I am too handsome for words.  I have a silky short-haired coat
and deep green eyes.  I am a care-free and loveable guy.  I love people, but
not a fan of dogs and I would like to be the only cat in the family.  I am at the
Cape Ann Animal Aid located at 260 Main Street in Gloucester.
We are a non-profit shelter and I can’t say enough about the wonderful
staff and volunteers.  We appreciate donations of all sizes and remember, they are tax-
deducible.  We also appreciate items such as postage stamps, gas cards for our shelter
van, large trash bags and toys for the cats and dogs here at the shelter.  Did you know that
between August 1 and November 23, 256 cats and dogs were placed in loving homes?
I hope in the next report, I am include in it!!

Hippy – Pet of the Week

Hippy – Pet of the Week
Hello!  My name is Hippy, a sweet five-month-old boy Spaniel mix pup.
I am happy and outgoing.  I love people and other
dogs.  I weigh about 13 pounds, so I will be medium in size when I am
all grown.  I am at the Cape Ann Animal Aid (capeannanimalaid.com)
and hoping I will be adopted soon.  I am so excited
about being part of a family.  I don’t need my own room, I would be
happy just to sit on my new owner’s lap.
Please stop down to 260 Main Street in Gloucester and ask for
Hippy!  If you want to start out the New Year with lots of fun,
just adopt me!

Hippy

YOKO – Good Morning Gloucester Pet of the Week

YOKO – Good Morning Gloucester Pet of the Week
My name is Yoko and my brother and I are here at the Cape Ann Animal Aid (CAAA) in Gloucester.
We are three-month-old pups who are outgoing and happy.  Like most pups, we love to play
and play and then sleep and sleep.  We only have one fault, our tails never stop wagging.
We are sweet and gentle.  I think we are part Beagle.  We weight about 11 pounds now and
will be medium when fully grown.  Why don’t you stop down to the shelter located at
260 Main Street in Gloucester.  The CAAA is a non-profit animal shelter dedicated to caring for
homeless cats and dogs.  I am pretty certain if you come to visit me, you will want to adopt me.
I look a little too serious in this photo, but I promise to smile next time!

Nee Nee – Pet of the Week

Nee Nee – Pet of the Week
Hello!  My name is Nee Nee and I am a four-month-old Terrier Norwich, purebred pup.
I only weigh about six pounds and will be small when fully grown.  I am a special needs
adoption as I have a luxating patella (my kneecap shifts around), so I may
need extra veterinary care in the future.  This doesn’t hold me back, I am a active
and happy girl.  I have a sweet personality and can’t wait to meet my new family.
I am at the Cape Ann Animal Aid, a non-profit shelter located at
260 Main Street in Gloucester.  I know many holidays are coming up soon and you can just
put me in a big pocketbook because like most gals, I love to shop, shop, shop!!!
By the way, my pretty coat usually looks very nice, but I just had a bath and
can’t do anything with it; a true bad hair day!

Lucas – Pet of the Week

Lucas

My name is Lucas and I am a handsome grey-and-black
affectionate guy who is three.  I have been into the snacks a little
too much and I am in need of playing and exercising more and a little less TV;
but I really love those cooking shows! Please stop by the Cape Ann Animal Aid in
Gloucester and visit me.
There are a lot of little things walking around here; I think they are called kittens
and we have lots of them here.  The shelter is non-profit and the staff is always
grateful when friends bring in items such as bleach, large trash bags,
paper towels, postage stamps and of course, donations to the Building Fund
(donations are tax-deductible).  Consider
adopting me and if you do, please don’t buy me a treadmill!

Nellie – Good Morning Gloucester Adopt A Pet of the Week

Nellie

Nellie – Pet of the Week
Good morning Gloucester, my name is Nellie and I am an independent lady.  I am a Jack Russell Terrier who is
smart, loyal, happy,  determined and yes, okay…… I ‘am stubborn.  Although I am
energetic, I do like my nap time.  I am looking for a forever home that is cat free.
I truly like the quiet side of life – I am not into the hecticness of young children and
teens; I would prefer an adult home.  I would be a great pet for retirees who are
looking for a dog to spoil.  I would make a perfect apartment pet
and would love to tag along when you run errands and take walks.
I am at the Cape Ann Animal Aid located a non-profit shelter
located at 260 Main Street in Gloucester.
I am accepting interviews of my new potential owner(s) on all days except
Mondays and Tuesday; as the shelter is closed!  I want to let you in on a
little secret – a visitor arriving with toys might win me over very quickly – very quickly!

Salty – Pet of the Week

Salty

Salty – Pet of the Week
Good Morning Gloucester!  My name is Salty and I am an eleven-week-old orange-and-white
male kitten.  I am very handsome and adorable.   I have lived with dogs,
cats and humans and get along with them all.  I am very popular at the
shelter because I am so social; my roommate said I am just nosey.
The Cape Ann Animal Aid is a non-profit shelter located
in Gloucester and in addition to kittens, we have full grown cats and
several puppies and dogs.   You may access photos of all adoptable pets by going online at
capeannanimalaid.com and you are welcome to visit us – but remember, we are
closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Please consider adopting me and if you are driving and
you are a guy, please ask for directions – remember, 260 Main Street in
Gloucester!!!

Betty- GMG Adopt A Pet of The Week

Betty

Betty – Pet of the Week
Good Morning Gloucester!   My name is Betty and I am a sweet and curious lady
who is 3-1/2 years old.  I am staying at the Cape Ann Animal Aid in Gloucester
until I am adopted. I am a rescue from Puerto Rico.  I can be bashful, but
once I get to know you – I am a real snuggle bunny.  I am learning about
leash walking and can’t wait to be adopted so I can walk
around Gloucester and show off my new family.  If you would like to visit me,
please stop by the shelter located at the Cape Ann Animal Aid in Gloucester,
located at 260 Main Street.  We are closed on Monday and Tuesdays, but
open the other days.    I think I am a Jack Russell Terrier with a sprinkle of
this and that in my family tree.  Because of my timid nature, I would love a
family with children ten years or older.  Please…please….please consider
adopting.  My life has not been that easy and
being adopted would make my life perfect.  Just thinking about being adopted
just makes me so happy I could cry!

Good morning Gloucester Pet Of The week- Chelsea

Chelsea

Good morning Gloucester!  My name is Chelsea and I am
doing what I do best – napping!  I am also looking for a
stress management program for cats.
You see, every time the door opens here at the
Cape Ann Animal Aid and someone is looking for a cat –
the kittens get most of the attention.  I am a sweet and

humans that kittens grown up to be cats – they don’t seem to get it!

Chocolate

My name is Chocolate and I am a sweet one-year-old girl pup.
I was hit by a car when I was just a few months old
and my front leg had to be removed – but this doesn’t
slow me down at all! I think I am Retrieve,
Corgi and terrific.   If you  would like to meet me,
I am at the Cape Ann Animal Aid in Gloucester.
Dog Day is Sunday, September 12 from

might look at me because of my injury – – but it doesn’t matter
what is missing – what matters is what I have – a good heart!

Cape Ann Animal Aid Pet of The Week From GMG

Joey:  Hope you had a great weekend!

Tina Ketchopolos from Cape Ann Animal Writes–

Good Morning Gloucester!   My name is Sammy
and I am an affectionate one-and-a-half year
old adventurous girl. I love checking out new
spots, going for walks and having a good time.
I am kind and love spending time with people.
I am learning how to ride in the car and sitting
nicely.   I love the beach, playing ball and having
fun.  I am looking forward to meeting my forever
family.   If you are interested in learning
more about me, please stop by the Cape Ann
Animal Aid in Gloucester, a non-
profit shelter.  Visit our website at:
capeannanimalaid.com
I am residing there until I am adopted;
they are just wonderful to me.
By the way, what does being "a little mischief mean?"
I thought I was a Shepherd and Terrier mix!

Oscar – Pet of the Week At Cape Ann Animal Aid

Here’s the second installment of GMG Pet of The Week-

Good Morning Gloucester!  I am all ready for rainy weather or whatever comes
my way.   My name is Oscar and I am Dachshund.   I love toys and you will
never see me without one in my mouth or near by.
I am a little guy who likes the outdoors.  I like to hike in the woods, walk and don’t let these
short legs fool you – I can keep up with you.   I like my naps, too.   I love to curl up in the
afternoon on a nice soft blanket.   I enjoy riding in the car and just being with people.
I get along with most dogs as long as these don’t take my toys.  I have a little
confession – I like cats but I just love to chase them!  I am being fostered because at
the shelter I was feeling too stressed out and always awake checking to see if anyone
was going to take my toys.  One dog – he looked like half-a-pony – I thought for sure
if I fell asleep he was going to take my toys.   Because of my "intense" style, I am
looking for an adult home.  If you think you could be person(s), please give the shelter
a call so we might chat a little more!   The Cape Ann Animal Aid is located at
260 Main Street in Gloucester and may be reached at (978) 283-6055
