Joey, this news just came over the wire about Sunday’s event.

Late-breaking news: MAC ups the ante!

This just in: Manchester Athletic Club has upped the ante for Sunday’s Bikini-Speedo Dodgeball event, doubling the entry fee for Muffy White’s Hot Mess team that will benefit Next Step.

Just as bets before a horse race flow toward the favorite, the smart money before this Sunday’s event is lining up behind the Hot Mess squad. The MAC had held back on making its support public in an effort not to intimidate the other teams, especially the other so-called “gyms” in the event.

Between the new juicer and getting back to the Manchester Athletic Club it’s nice knowing that I’m doing some decent things instead of my normal winter routine of letting it all go to hell.

Back at The MAC stories

Week two back at the Manchester Athletic Club.  Starting to get my rhythm back and a little more flexibility in my muscles.  The place has really grown with the number of different programs they have.  It’s like a beehive of activity of people all there to get their work-out on.  Much busier now than when I used to go a decade ago.

Kathleen here talks about aging better, something I never really thought about til I turned 40 but now realize how crucial it is as my metabolism slows down.  Basically when you get to be 40 you’re at a crossroad.  You can take action or you can let yourself turn to shit.

 

Gymazing at the Manchester Athletic Club

The family has joined the Manchester Athletic Club. 

So the workouts have begun and it’s nice to be back at the MAC after not working out for a good number of years.  The Gymazing program where you can have you children looked after while you work out is AWESOME!

Time To Work Out- Gonna Hit the MAC

After sitting on a beach for a week straight and eating like a pig in Playa del Carmen I’ve decided to not let myself blow up like an Alabama tick and am going to start working out again to keep off that winter spare tire.

I decided on The Manchester Athletic Club for several reasons.  The kids take swimming lessons there and the Mrs does her newfangled workouts there but also with the Gloucester and Manchester locations I can bring the girls in and set them up in the Gymazing class while I get my work out on in Manchester or I have the option to pop in the Gloucester location on a day when there might only be a couple of boats out fishing.  Being able to spend a little time with the kids at the gym and for the Mrs to have some time to herself will be a big time bonus as well!

Elizabeth Harrigan talks about getting back to working out after some time away from the gym.  I can totally relate.

It also didn’t hurt that they have a zero to join through January 31st deal.
