Magnolia Pier

Different perspective on the Magnolia Pier design.  It almost looks like the Crusader crosses on their vest.  It was cloudy so the sky and ocean looked silver.

Stormy Monday

A couple of photos from Monday as it was blowing, high tides, and rain.  You can see from the Magnolia Pier photo that making the pier 2 feet higher it will protect our beloved pier.  The waves off Kettle Island were very impressive.

Rough waters on Monday, The Magnolia Pier looks great

On Monday about 2 hours before high tide, went by the Magnolia Pier.  You can see how sturdy the pier is built and being 2 feet higher will make a huge difference when we have storms.

The barge is back

The progress on the Magnolia Pier is very noticeable.   The workers have been doing a great job and also they have been very nice.

3 hours after the king tide on Tuesday

You can see how the raising of the Magnolia Pier 2 feet will make a huge difference during high tides.

More progress on The Magnolia Pier

On Thursday the workers put up some of the railings.  It is starting to look like The Magnolia Pier.  Who wants to be first to jump off when it is complete.

The Magnolia Pier looks very great

Through the last three days of relentless wind and waves, the construction of the Magnolia Pier looks great.

Kayaking around Magnolia Harbor

While kayaking around Magnolia Harbor on Tuesday, there is real progress on The Magnolia Pier.

Kayaking near Kettle Island, there was a deer looking right at me but could not get the camera fast enough.

Real progress

The Magnolia Pier is coming along.  Today, Tuesday, the pilings were put in with a very interesting tool.  So looking forward to having the Pier back.

Kayaking around Magnolia Harbor

On Wednesday afternoon decided to kayak around Magnolia Harbor and also watched the progress of the Magnolia Pier.  What a beauty of a time.

Almost time for Cheers for the Pier
