Dave Sag’s Blues Party Tonight with Scotty Shetler @ The Rhumb Line 8:30-11:30pm 8.27.2015

Dave Saginario

Dave says,

This Thursday I’m really psyched to bring you something new and scrofulous: The Tenor Titan, Mr. Scotty Shetler. We played here in the “old” days and he just slipped through my cracks. Ah, all these years…. You gotta hear this guy play! He just oozes Omphalos! Sings, too. A great front man!

Not only that, but Mr. Pete Henderson, lonely in these parts, is making a rare appearance on catarrh and vocals. Another awesome boost to our flame-throwing lineup.Top it all off with the Atomic Clock, Mr. David Mattacks with me cringing in the background and you’ll be crying “Uncle!”. This could be one of the best shows all summer!

Chris Stovall Brown joins the Dave Sag’s Blues Party @ The Rhumb Line. Tonight 8:30pm 7.23.2015

dave-sag-rl-4-3-2014-1 (2)

We’ll provide a musical haymaker this Thursday with the delivery of Mr. Chris “Stovall” Brown to our shores. It’s been a while since Chris has been here and we welcome his string-biting analgesic style as we cavort thru the entire teenage canon of pimply blues and other sordid recollections of days gone by. A blast to play with! Not only that, but the Atomic Clock hisself, Mr. Dave Mattacks, supplies the heartbeat. Expect to hear a lot of bad jokes, rampant diatribes and plenty of whining about the Republicans or the tip jar. I’ll be on base, too, with my newly freed right hand out of the cast (of thousands!) and into a free-range productive baby button, held up by a strong belt of vodka. hit at 8:30 at the Rhoomba Line.

Dave says,

It’s Ragnarock and roll time as we welcome back The Godfather of Punque: Mr. Willie Alexander. Just back from a tour of Asgard, his horned helmet is sharpened to the point of no return. We’ll be cranking it out at the Rhumbline this Thursday from 8:30 on, with the likes of the ferocious Billy Loosigian on catarrh, and Steevee Chaggaris on eggbeaters. When you clock the human race with the stopwatch of history, it’s a new record every time!

Then, on Sunday, join me for an evening of blues at the Mile Marker at the Cape Ant Marina. From 6 to 9, we’ll be serving up copious amounts of frisson with a great band featuring Chris “Stovall” Brown on gootar and vocals, the magnificent Joe Bargar on keys  and vocals, myself on bass and a drummmbler yet awakened from  a deep sleep.
Don’t forget Monday afternoon matinees at the Rose Baker Senior Center where The Old Salties honk it up for free  from 1 to 3 P.M. It’s free, like advice!

Get ready for the joint to be rockin! “Mr. Nick and The Dirty Tricks” @ The Rhumb Line’s Dave Sag’s Blues Party 8:30-11:30pm 5.21.2015

dave-sag-rl-4-3-2014-1 (2)

Dave says,

I got a new group for ya this Thursday: Mr. Nick and the Dirty Tricks, minus one, that is, since I’ll be playing instead of their bassist. Apparently he’s suffering from a French foreign lesion. Wish him well! Mr. Nick is a well known harmonicat, although not around these parts, so cheer him on! He has the Q-Tip ability to ream out the smallest spaces in your cortical processes and will create a disturbance in your mind. Believe me!

He’s bringing along his longtime gootarist in the form of Mr. “Lonely” Gus Carlson, a fine player and vocalist as well as Mr.Rick Russo, on drums and vocals, too. I brought these cats in the night of last year’s Horrible’s Parade and they tore the joint apart! Come see for yourself!
And Saturday night, I’ll be down to Carlo’s on the loop, whooping it up with that Perry Combover Award winning vocalist and jongleur, Mr. John Keegan and the local faves: Madhouse. Yes, Carlo’s is open and we expect to have a wonderful evening, since we’ve been rehearsing all winter!  See you there!
