It’s hard to believe Snoop Maddie Mad will be two years old tomorrow. Stop growing my sweet little maniac.

When in Naples in April we had The Bean and Snoop Mad sit for David Stevenson on the beach. He posted the session to his website-

The slideshow is here- http://www.dsimages.com/ciaramitaro2009/
The patience this man and his sweetheart wife have is immesurable, but I guess that’s what you’ve got to have if you’re going to shoot a couple of maniac children.
David is going to come to Gloucester and take some pictures aboard lobster boats. I’m looking forward to seeing him and Lana.
That’s the amount of hours I conservatively estimate we’ve spent searching for The Bean’s blankie (she calls it her night-night or Lola). It’s getting close to when we will have to seperate her from the ratty blankie she loves so much and believe me I’m dreading that day like none other. For now though, every time we leave the house we have to go searching high and low for that blankie. Oy!
The Bean and I discuss our dislike of the evil empire.
The first time I stepped foot on this pier I was 9 years old. My parents sent my sister Felicia (age 8 at the time) and me on the plane to visit our grandfather Captain Joe and grandmother Felicia. I remember back then my grandfather would get me up at 5AM to walk down to the pier to go fishing. It was 33 years ago and I can remember the sounds smells and scene just like it was today. My memory isn’t all that good but I can remember walking down to the pier from my grandparents apartment just like it was yesterday.
My grandmother Felicia would sit and knit under a palm tree at the foot of the pier on the beach with her girlfriends while Captain Joe would fish for snook, jack and spanish mackerel.
Now every time we go to Naples we walk the pier with my little girls- Captain Joe and Felicia’s great grandchildren and I remember all over again and we always take that walk right down to the end.

If you thought they were crazy in cold New England, just wait til you add in the Florida heat.
It’s been a tough adjustment period for Snoop Maddie Mad……….. Not!

Snoop Maddie Mad chills out on our bed with “New Roar” her lion. The reason she calls him “New Roar” is because it is a lion that replaced her older stuffed animal lion who is now aptly named “Old Roar”

Auntie Gerry hasn’t changed much in all these years. She’s still a beautiful woman.

When The Mrs was pregnant with Snoop Maddie Mad, The Bean (Eloise) was 22 months old just before she was born.
I remember thinking to myself that I had no idea how I would ever love another baby as much as The Bean and I felt sorry for the unborn baby in my wife’s belly.
Madeline while being completely different than The Bean in almost every way is just as loved, something I never thought possible before she was born. Snoop Mad is crazy and is obviously missing the fear gene. The Bean is a direction follower and semi neurotic like me and Snoop Maddie Mad is a complete maniac who acts first and thinks later. There is no healthy dose of fear in her, lol.
