Do You Think Social Media Is a Fad? Poll

Think About Your Answer Before You Watch The Video

Facebook

OK Joey breathe deep.

Just to get it out of the way right off the bat- no, I’m not joining Facebook.

I completely recognize that Facebook is taking over the intrawebs.  I am not a Facebook hater.  I can appreciate what a powerful communicating tool it is.  The idea of being able to find your old buddies from college or high school and other people that you’ve known or know and communicate with them so easily is something that appeals to me.  I’m the type of person that can never have too many friends.

It is precisely the reason that I know I will be completely engrossed in it that I won’t join.  We don’t want the blog to suffer now do we?

The reason for bringing this up is because I often get friend requests for Facebook and I don’t want folks to think that I don’t want to Facebook “Friend” them.  I just don’t have an account.  So don’t take it as a snub when you don’t see me pop up in your account if you’ve asked me to be your FB friend- it’s just that I’ve somehow resisted the whole thing.

GMG Facebook Impostor

Unfortunately someone has started a facebook page titled GoodMorning Gloucester and stolen our logo.

I’m pretty disapponted and hope that the person that has done this will take it down voluntarily without me having to take time from the family while on vacation to deal with it.

I always thought the idea of a GMG fan page would be cool but for someone to steal the GMG logo ands pose as this site’s Facebook page after all the work to get GMG where it is is completely unacceptable.

So I’m asking here first nicely that if anyone has any information about it or if you are responsible please take the Facebook page down, no hard feelings.

Thanks

A Call To All You Facebook Freaks

Hey I know Facebook is taking over America.  I’m not blind.  While I refuse to jump on that train and get sucked into the vortex that is Facebook I get it.  It’s the coolest thing going.  I’ve got my hands full trying to keep GMG the very best it could be. Signing up for Facebook would undoubtably mean that the blog would suffer and we can’t have that now, can we?

Anyway, I’m asking all you Facebook freaks out there if you dig GMG could you pass along the link along to your pals on Facebook for them to check out GMG?

Here’s the link for you to copy and paste-
