Boston Red Sox- Tampa Bay game last Tuesday

David Ortiz consoles Molina of the Rays after his foul-tip hits him square in the face mask and then motions for the trainer to come help… then later in the game laces a line drive to bring in a run…just before the three hour rain delay.

Fun day at Fenway

Even though my beloved Red Sox have not had an all-star season,to say the least, it is still a blast to go to Fenway and experience the ambience of the park.  Here a couple of pictures I took on Saturday.  We had amazing seats that were a gift.

Spring Training Tickets 2010

I’ve gone to Spring Training every year since they’ve opened City Of Palms Park in Ft Myers.  Even though I think it’s a gorgeous facility and not too old- opened in 1992 they will be relocating next year closer to Naples.

For more info about City of Palms Park you can check out this site-

One of the things I love about going to Spring Training every year is how close to the players you get and how theres a super friendly atmosphere in City Of Palms Park.

Gloucester residents Jerry Ciolino Jr. and Steve Maniaci are opening West End Sweets at 37 Main St., Gloucester, in the store front that once housed Mike’s Pastry.

West End Sweets will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The store’s first day of business will be on Friday, May 1 and the grand opening, featuring Wally the Green Monster, will be on Sunday, May 3, from 2-4 p.m.

West End Sweets will offer ice cream, slush, sundaes, Seine Boat floats, flurries, banana splits, frappes, freezes, protein shakes, fruit smoothies, spumoni, espresso, coffee, hot dogs, old fashioned candy and ice cream cannolis.

Our signature item is the Storm where customers can choose one of our five Storm Station creations that include ice cream and mix-ins. West End Sweets offers more than 40 mix-ins as well as more than 20 combined ice cream and frozen yogurt ice cream flavors.

The highlight of the Grand Opening weekend is Sunday, May 3, from 2-4 p.m. as Wally the Green Monster from the Boston Red Sox will meet and greet the customers. The first 100 children to visit Wally will get a Mascot Photo Card.

Any customer who purchases an ice cream that day will also be entered into a raffle where the winner will receive two tickets to the sold out Mother’s Day game between the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays. The drawing will be held at 6 p.m.
