Expert Assembly From GMG Jim

I recently ordered this rack from Amazon for a little less than $50. The sale included an offer for “expert assembly” costing an additional $125 (you read that right…$125 to expertly assembly a towel rack…) I offered Jim a beer and it was assembled in about 10 minutes. It’s a crazy world we are living in……gotta wonder who orders $125 expert assembly for a towel rack? I will admit, there have been some late Christmas Eves when I would have gladly paid for toy assembly…….but not a towel rack. Really Amazon? C’mon…….

When working at the graduate school at Wheelock College in Boston during 2000-2003, I was making some travel arrangements for a guest speaker. As I was working on these arrangements, noticed the name was a professor Christine King Farris from Spelman College in Atlanta Georgia. She asked me for an escort as she stated she never travels alone after what had happened to her brother. What an honor to have met this woman and she was so kind to sign a book on her brother who was Martin Luther King. I have kept this and feel honored to have it.

Hi Joe,

I was hoping you could post about a few things we’re doing! Starting next weekend, we’ll be open to the public on Fridays and Sundays, and by appointment only the rest of the week. We’ll be having a 15% off Valentine’s jewelry sale the first two weeks of February, and will also be offering a 20% discount (excluding jewelry) to event planners this winter.
