Let the college visits for Madeline commence!

My little one next step. Seems like yesterday she was learning how to jump rope.

Blue Building with Pink Door
I don’t know much about this older building along Washington St in the Bay View area, but it’s character and position up a slight hill along the roadway intrigues me. I’ve long wanted to stop and take a few shots of this. It is apparently a former church which has become residential. What stories the walls could tell!

Seine Boat Fundraiser Feb 28th At Minglewood Info From Seine Boat Intel Facebook
Ok, come on, its February, who is still thinking of seine boats!!?? Well, here is one obvious answer, Joe Novello.
There is going to be a Seine Boat Fundraising Event to help with boat maintenance. We are looking to purchase new oars (which now cost $625/each) and are hoping to adjust the spacing of the turning flags (make them a bit wider), life jackets, etc.
So….from Joe Novello himself, here are the details:
When: Wednesday, February 28th
Where: Minglewood Tavern (because Zach is and has always been a huge supporter of all things Fiesta)
Time: 4:00PM to “Closing”
A few side notes:
-Minglewood has offered to donate 10% of all of their food sales from 4:00PM to Closing to the Fiesta Seine Boat Fund (including Take Out orders).
-Minglewood is offering their standard menu for the event.
-They also have a 50-cent wings special that night.
-100% of the proceeds to directly to funding the upkeep of the seine boats.
We hope everyone can find the time to come on down, share a few laughs and support the seine boats….and the Fiesta. Also, be sure to wear your favorite “classic” seine boat rowing shirt.
And finally, this event it open to all rowers, families and friends.
Irish Sweepstakes Tickets Available
Joey and I got our Irish Sweepstakes ticket as offered by the Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce. I am pretty sure this is the winning number, but there are several other prizes so get yours right at their office at 24 Harbor Loop. If the $100 buy in seems intimidating, split it with others like we do! Adds to the fun of the event.
