This week at The Cut we have music and comedy, AND we’re gearing up for PRIDE MONTH with a Cape Ann Pride DJ night and a North Shore Pride Drag Show!
Wednesday: Wednesday Night Vibes with The FCC Organ Trio in “The Corner” at the front of the restaurant. Music from 7:30pm – 10pm. No cover. Music: Instrumental Blues and Jazz.
Thursday : Drew Dunn, Carolyn Plummer, and Harrison Stebbins – Three top notch comedians! There are still some tickets available for this show. Doors at 7pm. Show at 8pm.
AND Music BINGO in the restaurant. Free to play! 7pm – 9pm.
Friday : The Last DJ Night presented by Cape Ann Pride & DJ Coleslaw. 8:30pm – 11pm in the venue. NO COVER.
Saturday Brunch : The Clements Brothers in “The Corner” at the front of the restaurant. Brunch served 10am – 2:30pm, live music from 11am – 2pm. No cover. Music: Bluegrass.
Saturday : North Shore Pride’s “Jump Into Pride” Drag Show featuring Dahlia Sin from Ru Paul’s Drag Race. Doors at 7pm. Show at 8pm. There are still some tickets available for this show.

Thank you to the small army of volunteers who helped place flags this weekend at the local cemeteries in an effort to recognize all our deceased veterans. This is Beechbrook Cemetery and there were at least a dozen people helping there. Enjoy your weekend and remember our deceased veterans.





Whether you’re getting ready for prom or you just like flowers, enjoy this crafty program with the Sawyer Free Library on Thursday, May 30 from 2:30 to 4:00 pm at the Cape Ann YMCA.
Together we’ll be making flower crowns and boutonnieres using fresh flowers. All materials will be provided. The fun event is open to students in 6th through 12th grade. You do not need to be headed to a prom to attend this program – everyone is welcome.

The Magnolia Porch Fest on Saturday. It was so awesome and fun. The Magnolia Library volunteers did a terrific job. Thank you for the Magnolia Porch Fest Volunteers and thank you to everyone who came to this event.

Remembrance…



It was a very busy morning with school field trips when we took a little stroll on the pier behind Maritime Gloucester on the Harbor Loop. It’s easy to see why students and teachers like the opportunities these field trips provide. The pier is open to the public and the museum will be open this weekend. Check it out!




The Sawyer Free Library is pleased to welcome local author Sally Goldenbaum of the best-selling Seaside Knitters mystery series inspired by Gloucester and Cape Ann on Thursday, May 30 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at 21 Main Street.
Sally will discuss the most recent installment in the series, and the next in the series releasing in November. She’ll delve into what cozy mysteries are and how they differ from other sub-genres, how and why she began writing them, and the process of writing itself.
