Want to go watch meteor showers Aboard The Most Beautiful Boat in Gloucester Harbor?
Hi Joe,
Monday night is the night. We are leaving on the Lannon at midnight to head out to where the sky is big and dark to watch the Orionid Meteor Showers. We have invited a local astronomer from the Gloucester Area Astronomy Club to join us. Virginia Renehan is very knowledgeable and happy to share her knowledge of the nighttime sky with our passengers. Take a nap if you have to, but join us for one of the final sails of the season.

Trick or Treat at Fenway Park!
Well, it ain’t no Rolling Rally Parade, but I’ll take it.
On exactly October 30th, 2004 and October 30th, 2007 I was inside Fenway Park boarding a Duck Boat with the Red Sox ownership to ride in the Rolling Rally World Series Parades. Two of my craziest days ever.
So, while that won’t be happening this October 30th….at least something fun will be!
The Red Sox have been finding more and more ways to keep Fenway Park fan friendly and to open its gates in lots of new and exciting ways. Picnics in the Park, chances to run the bases, Frozen Fenway, ice skating open to the public, the Monster Sled sledding course, concerts…and much, much more!
This year they are also hosting Trick or Treating on the warming track and a viewing of Ghost Busters on the big screen. All for free! While you don’t have to buy tickets….you do need to reserve them.

Are you a tourist or a Givebackpacker?
Krissy Sunflower submits-
Krissy and Lindsay are travelers, entrepreneurs and adventurers with a case of wanderlust and a passion for giving back to the world and the magical places they visit.
With their travels and companies, they have created ways to live lives of adventure as well as provide sustainable solutions to some of the basic needs of those in poverty; food, water, jobs and education.
They have been working with Mexican craftspeople just south of the border, 90 minutes from their homes in San Diego, bringing back the beautiful handmade goods to sell on their online marketplace. They then donate back to organizations in the community where the items are from, providing jobs, scholarships and meals to those in need.
It is their goal to continue to spread these solutions and possibilities around the world, while they backpack through Europe and Southeast Asia, October through December.
Although all of their travel expenses have already been funded with personal savings– the key to reaching their goals depends on your generosity and support. Their aggressive crowdfunding campaign through Kickstarter will help to
expand their business model, giving back and create sustainable solutions through targeted microloans, along with purchasing and shipping goods back to the US.
