525

I went to 525 the other night for dinner and drinks with a couple great friends.  Two Magnolia Mules, some shared calamari, beet and ricotta salad, and fish tacos….followed by a delicious espresso and some obscene (in a good way) dessert.  Everything was delicious!  If you haven’t been in a while it is probably time to head on over!

But in case you needed a reminder- thus is the time of the year you can actually get in and be seated right away.

Captain Pete Mondello and I enjoyed lunch here today.

pavillion-band-stand-stage-fort-park-copyright-kim-smithThis morning’s snow and ice lingered all day, shrouding the city in such a hauntingly beautiful manner that I couldn’t help but take the late afternoon off and went looking and taking as many photos as possible before the sun set.  stage-fort-park-copyright-kim-smitheastern-point-lighthouse-snow-copyright-kim-smithbrace-cove-house-copyright

Saint Anthony’s by-the-sea Snowy Morning

st-anthonys-by-the-sea-chapel-gloucester-snowy-day-copyright-kim-smithSaint Anthony’s Chapel, early this morning when it was still snowing. I am hoping to post a second batch of photos from later today, of the hauntingly beautiful scenes of snow- and ice-shrouded Gloucester however the branches and phone lines are laden and our lights keep flickering on and off. I hope we don’t lose power tonight but won’t be surprised if we do.

We may be fed up with it…but it’s still so pretty!

I know everyone has had enough of the shoveling and wintry weather…I myself am tired of wearing ugly big boots and ski pants to work everyday, but you have to admit that today’s snow is so beautiful!
