Backyard As Wildlife Sanctuary

It’s strikes me that it’s a little bit like a “backwards” zoo. We are behind glass looking out. So much goes on out in the backyard! All we needed to do was take the time to watch.

Fly Amero

I’m very much looking forward to bringing my traditional Rhumb Line Wednesday into your home. When we go live, please feel free to tune in, get comfy, pour yourself a cocktail and make believe you’re here with me. Love to you’z ~ Fly

A SPECIAL NOTE: Allen Estes has just now suggested (and I agree) that logistics are more than delicate when it comes to safely sharing space and gear among multiple artists. For this reason, he has chosen to step down as guest, and I have chosen to eliminate the guest format entirely. Going forward, I’ll be performing these live stream shows exclusively as solo artist. It’s just the wise thing to do. Hope you agree. ~ Fly

Virgilio’s is OPEN for take-out. What are your top 3 go-to sandwiches on the menu? #GloucesterMA

mine

  1. North Ender (light on sundried tomatoes) cold
  2. Eggplant supreme (without the prosciotto) hot

My son loves the caprese. My mother in law loves the chicken salad. Great vodka cream sauce! I also grab their bread and sauce and dips at area supermarkets, too. Virgilio’s makes fresh bread next level. As in All. Day. Long.

Alexandra’s Bread is OPEN and take out is brisk! Call ahead for what you need the next day, and they can bring it out to your car

Call the day before for your favorite loaves, rolls, cookies, scones and other sweet treats. They have been busy and selling out, and can make more if they know the orders ahead of time. A surprise at this time: people have been buying new dish towels and vintage ware (washable!), and greeting cards to go.

What’s your favorite bread at Alexandra’s?

p.s. If it lasts that long, their french bread freezes well and makes fantastic overnight french toast.

Hey, I am sewing masks for the folks on the front line…I just have to do something for this crisis. I have heard different opinions as to how much it helps but most say it is better than nothing. Many folks are doing this in my area so the craft stores are out of elastic. Does anyone have some I can have? Even on Amazon it is going to take weeks to get. Anyone wanna join me? I have lots of fabric to donate. LMK. Stay safe.
