The Baker-Polito administration today March 24 introduced a new tool for anyone interested in getting reliable COVID-19 updates for Massachusetts by text message. Text COVIDMA to 888-777 to receive messages and links directly from state and public health officials. This new tool is intended “help connect residents to information that they are look for through other public information channels, such as the state’s information line, 2-1-1, and website searches on Mass.Gov.” The link for further information is here.

Iain Ker forwarded these spectacular drone shots from the Ocean Alliance new dock installation.

Work on the docks has temporarily ceased due to the coronavirus situation however, although not quite finished, the docks are useable to a certain degree and are quite secure against bad weather.

Hi Joey,
It’s Arwen from the Bookstore! I hope you and your family are well and weathering these
crazy times! I wanted to reach out and ask if you could let your followers on GMG know
that we are open for phone or e-mail orders. I am doing curbside or free local home delivery

I am planning on being at the store most days for calls and on our website,” thebookstoreofgloucester”

Thanks for all you do for our community and the support you offer!

As it was raining and sleeting on Monday went by the Magnolia Pier. It looks so good.

My son loves the caprese. My mother in law loves the chicken salad. Great vodka cream sauce! I also grab their bread and sauce and dips at area supermarkets, too. Virgilio’s makes fresh bread next level. As in All. Day. Long.

Call the day before for your favorite loaves, rolls, cookies, scones and other sweet treats. They have been busy and selling out, and can make more if they know the orders ahead of time. A surprise at this time: people have been buying new dish towels and vintage ware (washable!), and greeting cards to go.
What’s your favorite bread at Alexandra’s?
p.s. If it lasts that long, their french bread freezes well and makes fantastic overnight french toast.
Hey, I am sewing masks for the folks on the front line…I just have to do something for this crisis. I have heard different opinions as to how much it helps but most say it is better than nothing. Many folks are doing this in my area so the craft stores are out of elastic. Does anyone have some I can have? Even on Amazon it is going to take weeks to get. Anyone wanna join me? I have lots of fabric to donate. LMK. Stay safe.
