My Special Musical Guests: EVERYONE!

After 37+ amazing years of bartending at the Rhumb Line, the great Michael Gallagher has decided to retire. In tribute to his longstanding impeccable quality, character and integrity, every Wednesday musical guest we’ve ever hosted has asked to appear to perform personal dedications for his final bar shift. There are some, of course, who will not be able to be with us, but they do send sincere regrets and undying love. There will be a card for us all to sign, and I’ve actually written a little special something for the occasion. Anyway, it promises to be a great send-off for a truly great person, so we’re expecting it to be busy. Please try to come early and grab a good seat for the spectacle you are about to witness! Hail to thee, Michael Gallagher! You are loved and will be missed! ~ Fly

Senior Care – March for Meals

March for Meals brings awareness of the meals on wheels program, recruits volunteer drivers and gets the message out that we are more than a meal. We serve nine communities on the North Shore from Rockport to Topsfield, delivering over 130,000 meals last year, over 500 per day. 32,000 to Gloucester seniors each year, 100 per day.

During the month of March we invite local public officials, Rotary members, Chamber of Commerce members and local celebrities to help us deliver meals. Mayor Sefatia Romeo-Theken, Senator Bruce Tart and Senator Brad Hill have done it every year. This year both Ken Riehl and Kerry McKenna of the Cape Ann Chamber have committed to a day. If you would like to spend a few hour one day in March spreading some senior love and getting a lot of love back please call Senior Care.

The Spring Senior Care Breakfast is Friday, March 16 at the Gloucester House. The Linquata Family has hosted this event for 44 years. The cost is $12.00 per person. Placement sponsorships are available, call Senior Care.

Breakfast at home.

I added Dijon mustard on the eggs. Really yummy. The start of a new winter diet. I haven’t dieted in years. My goal- limit the empty carbs. No chips, pizza, candy, fries. Breakfasts like this.
