New expanded space at Jane Deering Gallery opens June 1! Solo art show Bobbi Kovner Green Resolutions #GloucesterMA

News from Jane Deering
Opening Reception. Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 3:00-5:30 P.M. ‘Bobbi Kovner | Green Resolutions #1-12’ Jane Deering Gallery
“I am besotted by plants and flowers -their form, their color, their contrasting meaning and function…As markers of seduction and marriage, birth and death, serenity and celebration; As sexual receptacles vibrating with thrum, buzz, wind and heat; Indoors as cut, curated artistry and ornament; Devolving from their prime into rank chaos – faded, battered, hanging by a single thread to a stalk.”
Bobbi Kovner
Bobbi Kovner has a BA from Wheaton College; MA Degrees from Columbia University and Lesley University; and a diploma from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She has taught Theory of Design seminars and Advanced Drawing at Endicott College. Her work has been shown at the New Museum in NYC, Tryst Gallery, Forest Gallery, Gallery Lumiere, and the Attleboro and Springfield Museums in Massachusetts. Works are currently on loan to the Decordova Museum. Kovner has been selected for numerous exhibitions and awards. Her work is held in private and public collections. Kovner has completed multiple commissions for national corporations, including a 36-ft long mural for the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas commissioned through Creiger Dane Gallery.
