Hi Donna and Joey,
Thanks for posting the events at the Gloucester Meetinghouse (Unitarian Universalist Church) on Good Morning Gloucester. Your help with getting the word out is always greatly appreciated!
Next weekend we have back to back concerts, a rare occurrence. Posters for both are attached but I just placed both events on the blog.
On Saturday evening, December 17, the Musicians of the Old Post Road perform their annual chamber music concert of the holiday season. They are one of the best early music ensembles in the country and play on period instruments, offering a gorgeous musical experience in the candlelit warmth of the Meetinghouse. On Sunday evening, December 18, the Cape Ann Big Band is performing their Holiday Concert. Both shows in Rockport at the Shalin Liu the day before are already sold out! This is a great chance for local residents to enjoy their signature big sound in a much larger space and for less money per ticket!!! Question: when I am adding an event at WordPress there is a list of Categories on the right hand margin (e.g. Maritime Gloucester) to choose as a venue or organization, but the Gloucester Meetinghouse does not appear. I have tried to enter our name in the open slot but it won’t let me. How do we get the Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation listed with the other organizations? Can one of you do this for us?

Walking Shore Road at sunset is so beautiful. There is a couple of us who have named ourselves the Sunset Club. On Sunday evening the sunset did not disappoint.

I guess this is called a sun pillar, so glad I saw it. It was beautiful. According to Wikipedia, this is what it is:
Sun pillars are beams of light that extend vertically upward (or downward) from a bright light source, such as the sun or another bright light low on the horizon. They can be 5 to 10 degrees tall and sometimes even higher. They might lengthen or brighten as you gaze at them.
They’re beautiful and wondrous. They’re also the source of some UFO reports!

On Thursday evening the sunset appeared literally out of some dark clouds.

Roxie the Dog was not impressed with the Lady Slipper shells. These were found on the beaches at Stage Fort Park, lots of them have washed ashore on the beaches.

On Tuesday, the clouds were surrounding the sun at sunset. Within five minutes the sunset became amazing.

On Monday the sky, ocean and the sunshine was inviting for a walk.
