Thanksgiving

Great day with family and friends and lots and lots of food.  Started to decorate for Christmas as well.  My fridge right before the cooking started.  If I was not careful about opening the door, things would fall out.

On Thanksgiving be grateful

Cape Ann escaped the wrath of Hurricane Sandy but the people of the Mid Atlantic states especially New York and New Jersey were not so lucky, so it is time for us to give back.  Rose from the DPW has requested a post regarding what we can do for others. Gloucester’s City Councilors are organizing a drive to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy the week after Thanksgiving to deliver clothing and supplies to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.  The hours for dropping off items at the GHS Field House Nov. 26-30 will be Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., then again each evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Items needed are all types of winter clothing, socks, blankets, disposable diapers, baby wipes, towels ,first aid kits, work gloves, flashlights, batteries, sleeping bags and pads, contractor trash bags, packing boxes, packing tape, and black magic markers.  They are not at this time collecting money only the items above.  If you can help, by donating, collecting needed items, sorting, packing, or in any other capacity is asked to contact Hardy at JackieAhardy@verizon.net.

Rick and Donna

Looking through old photos came across a picture of Rick in the first grade and one of me.  Rick, so cute, in New Jersey and I look like my hair got caught in a socket.  I think my mother curled my hair with rags.  That must have been a Somerville, MA thing.
