What teamwork on Saturday at the State Pier even hanging over the rocks to pick up the trash. Thanks all for helping keep our city clean. We collected 16 bags of trash.

Love to go visit these cuties. They actually come right over to say hello. Kids love to see them.

Open Veterans’ Day! 12-4p
Excellent news – Mayor Sefatia Romeo Theken and DPW Directory Mike Hale are arranging to open City Hall / Kyrouz Auditorium on Wednesday – Veterans’ Day – from 12-4 so folks can see the WWII portrait exhibition. Normally City Hall would be closed that day. So if you have the day off, swing by and take a look. The show should be up through the end of November, but a lot of folks were asking about Veterans’ Day in particular.
If you have a relative who served in WWII, bring a copy of a photo of them for our Memory Wall and post it (please don’t bring originals, they won’t be returned).
An exhibition of photography by Jason Grow was held on Saturday. Rick and I went to the Opening reception on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Gloucester City Hall. This exhibit was amazing. The photography of Jason Grow was very emotional. Seeing these World War II veterans and thanking them was terrific. The World War II Veterans who were there were so moved and seemed very happy. It was wonderful to see so many people visiting this exhibition.

Another great event on Sunday at Rusty & Ingrid Creative Company Handmade Fine Art Screen Arts.
If you are on Lexington Avenue make sure you stop by and visit this great studio. The kids loved it making their own screen print.
Halloween on Main Street was a great success. There were Peas in a Pod, Dapper Dogs, The Flintstones, Annie, Strawberry Short Cake, Super Heroes, Cleopatra, Little Red Riding Hood and many more. One of the most interesting was a mom with her infant in a snuggler dressed as a box of popcorn. All in all a very fun time for all.
