Thanks to all my friends that share my Waterfront Images reception post. I appreciate it.

You know, it’s funny how there are people that ask you a ton of times for help with publicity and you help them out with a smile. Then you have your own event…

And you see who your friends are. You see the people that get that it’s a two way street. And you make sure you take care of those people in the future.

Thanks to my good friends. ❤️

Fundraising night for Boston Children’s Hospital

Hi there Joey,
Would you be able to post to your crew about my fundraiser night this coming Wednesday? This is my fifth year fundraising through Extra Life, a 24 hour gaming marathon that raises money for local children’s hospitals. All the funds I raise go to our local Children’s Miracle Network hospital Boston Children’s. Each year I try to spread my wings further and this year I’m attempting to raise a total of $2,000. By hosting a dinner night at Jalapeños, I hope to help push myself closer to this year’s goal and spread the word about the event. I’ll be running a 50/50 raffle and will have some games on hand for folks to play.
Thanks for all the news you share with us and hope to see you Wednesday!

Cape Ann Women: Join us October 30 to raise $10,000 for a local charity

Come be part of #thepowerof100 on October 30 @ 5:30 pm at The Gloucester House Compass Rose room. This will be the second quarterly meeting of the Cape Ann chapter of 100 Who Care which launched in July with 125 women collectively donating $12,500 to Wellspring House for their Educational Resource Collaborative.

One hundred (or more!) women will each donate $100 on October 30 and together in one hour we will raise $10,000 for a local charity. If you can join us, visit https://100whocarecapeann.org to RSVP. If you can’t make it to this meeting, you can still participate by donating and voting through this web site.

We will hear presentations from members about three organizations – Backyard Growers, The Open Door and The Gloucester Stage Company– and vote on the one we think most needs funding.  Learn more about how they could use our support by checking out the Impact tab on the web site.

We meet four times a year and members can nominate charitable organizations they would like to support. This means we learn about 12 local charities each year and will donate $40,000+ to four of them. Next meeting will be January 30, 2020. We hope you’ll join this amazing group of women who are supporting our wonderful community.

Submitted by the 100 Who Care Cape Ann steering committee members: Diane Connolly, Erin McKay, Jane Remsen, Lisa Robinson, Marilyn Short. Contact us at info@100whocarecapeann.org.

Coming in Less Than 2 Weeks, Fishtown Players & New York Actors put on Mauritius by Theresa Rebeck

Fishtown Players is back, with Theresa Rebeck’s Mauritius, a tightly-paced comedic thriller about greed, family conflict and the seedy and rarefied world of philately (the art of stamp collecting). Winner of the Eliot Norton award as best new play, Fishtown brings Mauritius to the Rogers Street Theatre in downtown Gloucester, with a cast of local favorites and friends from New York City! M. Lynda Robinson, award-winning actress, director, teacher and playwright will direct.
Jackie, (Cassie Stewart) finds an interesting stamp collection in her mother’s home, and brings it to a shop owned by Phillip, an expert on stamps (Michael McNamara, Fishtown’s Founder). Dennis (Max McNamara) is there, and wants to help Jackie. Mary, Jackie’s half sister (Lily Narbonne*) is spiritually and nostalgically connected to the stamps, and furthermore, Sterling, (Justin Genna*) Phillip’s least favorite person, and Dennis’ cohort won’t stops until he gets ahold of them.
*Members of Actors Equity Association. This production is being presented under the auspices of the Actors Equity Association Member Projects Code
Performances will occur November 1, 2, 8 and 9 (Fridays and Saturdays) at 7:30pm and November 3 and 10 (Sundays) at 5:00pm at The Rogers Street Theatre at 68 Rogers Street in Gloucester.
