More than renovations at Robyn’s Dog Grooming Submitted By Cat Cavallini

There’s a lot more than renovations going on at Robyn (aka the Crazy Fiesta Hat Lady) McNair’s Dog Grooming shop on 388 Main St.

Pet grooming for over 36 years, Robyn and her friend Diane also started the Cancer Sucks Fund out of her shop. Personally affected by cancer, Robyn lost her husband John to cancer seven years ago. Wanting to offer a little extra help to local families, their first ’Clipping for a Cure’ raised $1200.

Local contractors Seaside Glass, Giacalone Contractors, Albano Electricians, Enos Painting and Louie McGraf have been donating their time and resources to renovate Robyn’s salon this past month.

A Go Fund Me page enabled her to buy new equipment, including this stainless steel dog washing tub. (If you’re interested in contributing to Go Fund Me, see above.)

The inside renovations will include a “CANCER SUCKS in every colour” wall in memory of John. The wall display will include photos honoring the many cancer survivors they have helped out. Once all renovations are done (aiming for April 1st) Robyn will again start up her “Clipping for a Cure” FREE NAIL CLINIC for cats and dogs. It will be on the last Saturday of every month from 9 to 12. Any donations will be accepted and appreciated for the Cancer Sucks Fund and no amount will be refused!  Robyn‘s Dog Grooming is open during renovations. You can contact her at 978.491.8255
