Join us Friday, May 31st to kickoff Cape Ann’s Pride Weekend with Sunset Sessions: Pride Edition at Beauport Hotel’s Birdseye Rooftop!
Featuring live DJ entertainment from 617 Events, dance along to your favorite beats, sip on handcrafted cocktails and take in the sweeping views of the Gloucester Harbor. Make sure to bring your suit if you want to take a dip in the pool or hot tub! This event is for 21+ adults only.
All attendees will be entered to win an overnight stay here at Beauport Hotel with tickets to the North Shore Music Theatre.
This event is in collaboration with Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce and the Cape Ann Pride Coalition. A portion of the ticket sales from this event will benefit the Cape Ann Pride Coalition – a grassroots organization of diverse people dedicated to celebrating, supporting, and creating community among the LGBTQIA+ residents and workers on Cape Ann, MA, and our Allies.

General admission is $30 and does not include food and beverage. VIP Premium Lounge Access includes a bottle of Veuve Clicquot for $300.
Rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable unless the rooftop is closed due to inclement weather. A weather cancellation will be decided upon by 12PM on the day of the event and ticket holders will be notified by email.
All overnight hotel guests receive complimentary access to this event.

The wreath ceremony, organized by IPFC John Keyes, included a brief history of Ten Pound Island Coast Guard Aviation station along with an original reading from VFC Floyd Grace, presented by Sea Scout Ship 5 crew.
The memorial and wreath ceremony located on Stacy Blvd, Gloucester MA, ‘Honors the men who established Coast Guard Aviation in May of 1925 on Ten Pound Island in Gloucester Harbor. Home of the first continuously operating Coast Guard Air Station. Growth in operations and aircraft size, forced a move to Salem Massachusetts in 1935, and again to Cape Cod in 1970.’
2025 will mark the 100th anniversary of Ten Pound Island Air Station.
BSA Sea Scout Ship 5 and Pack 33 were honored to participate in the wreath ceremony and presentation with Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 4-6 on Saturday May 25, 2024.

We spent a week’s vacation in Gloucester MA a few years ago and I still keep up with what’s going on there via the weekly emails and GMG. Will definitely be back one day!

This week at The Cut we have music and comedy, AND we’re gearing up for PRIDE MONTH with a Cape Ann Pride DJ night and a North Shore Pride Drag Show!
Wednesday: Wednesday Night Vibes with The FCC Organ Trio in “The Corner” at the front of the restaurant. Music from 7:30pm – 10pm. No cover. Music: Instrumental Blues and Jazz.
Thursday : Drew Dunn, Carolyn Plummer, and Harrison Stebbins – Three top notch comedians! There are still some tickets available for this show. Doors at 7pm. Show at 8pm.
AND Music BINGO in the restaurant. Free to play! 7pm – 9pm.
Friday : The Last DJ Night presented by Cape Ann Pride & DJ Coleslaw. 8:30pm – 11pm in the venue. NO COVER.
Saturday Brunch : The Clements Brothers in “The Corner” at the front of the restaurant. Brunch served 10am – 2:30pm, live music from 11am – 2pm. No cover. Music: Bluegrass.
Saturday : North Shore Pride’s “Jump Into Pride” Drag Show featuring Dahlia Sin from Ru Paul’s Drag Race. Doors at 7pm. Show at 8pm. There are still some tickets available for this show.

Whether you’re getting ready for prom or you just like flowers, enjoy this crafty program with the Sawyer Free Library on Thursday, May 30 from 2:30 to 4:00 pm at the Cape Ann YMCA.
Together we’ll be making flower crowns and boutonnieres using fresh flowers. All materials will be provided. The fun event is open to students in 6th through 12th grade. You do not need to be headed to a prom to attend this program – everyone is welcome.
