“Hi Joey,
Long time since I’ve offered photos, but here are some from last Friday’s “Evening in White.” Always a good time not to mention a worthy charity. Most of these photos were taken by my friend, Pamela Nicholson with the gracious permission of all those pictured.”

#Porkribs 7/22/16 on the @WeberGrills Kettle with assistance from the Performer
More from Joey’s BBQ Blog-
http://www.northeastbbq.com
Obviously I love BBQ cooking. I love the versatility and ease of using two kettles but if I were only going to own one it would have to be a Performer. That cart just makes everything so simple and convenient. Being able to rest your tray of prepped food of hold your remote thermometer sensor makes things so simple. When you factor in the gas assist for starting your coals, to me, it’s a no-brainer to go with a Performer.
When you consider the fact that unlike gas grills , a Weber Kettle can easily last you over 20 years with the bare minimum of care and you divide out the cost of ownership over all those years, I’d recommend you buy a Performer every time. It’s only a couple hundred more and when you think that you probably only get 5 years on average out of a gas grill…

The Reason You Call J&L Welding…
Jeff and his crew have deep roots in the fishing community if #GloucesterMA. He knows when a critical piece of equipment goes down in the offloading process that it will be a major hit to the port.
The boom goes down and within an hour Jeff came down to measure stock and had his crew on the job to get us back up running. A crisis situation is a whole lot less stressful when you have a company like J&L on your side. Thank you Jeff and company.

Joel Favazza’s Seagull Family Saga Played Out On Twitter
I Found A Double Walled 30 Oz Stainless Hot/Cold Tumbler With An Extra Sliding Lock Lid For Less Money!
Someone was complaining that they love their Tumbler and can’t believe how long it kept the ice even in a blazing hot car all afternoon but they wished it had a locking lid. I researched it and found this one that actually throws in a second sliding lock lid and is even cheaper!
Kate LOVES the fact that she can load hers up with iced water and put it on her nightstand and it doesn’t sweat at all. No need for coasters and saves your coffee tables from those nasty condensation rings!
Here’s the link to order one- order on Amazon here for $16.95 with free shipping if you’ve got Amazon prime
You can get in on the Cape Ann Coffees Mug Club where you bring in your 30 OZ Tumbler, Slap on a provided GMG sticker and get your XL coffee for the price of a Large! Read the details here about the Cape Ann Coffees Mug Club
You could order one but I guarantee that your spouse is going to want one. Guarantee, LOL!

Friday Night Benefit Concert for Schooner Adventure
Peter Souza and Three Sheets to the Wind – Music on Meetinghouse Green Concert to Benefit Schooner Adventure
Friday, July 22 6:00 – 8:30 Corner Church & Middle St., Gloucester
Three Sheets to the Wind is an old sailing term and refers to a ship whose sheets (lines) have come loose, causing the sails to flap uncontrolled and the ship to sh…udder and roll (like a staggering drunk) and meander at the mercy of the elements.
Three Sheets to the Wind is also a Gloucester chantey/sea music group. Many of the crew have years of established song and sea history to offer and create a perfect storm of song and good cheer. Their vocals, harmonies and instrument skills are phenomenal, and they have a great time performing and drawing the audience into the fun. https://www.facebook.com/threesheetstothewindgloucesterma/
This is concert three in a series of nine free outdoor concerts presented by the Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation. The family-friendly concert begins at 6 pm. Bring a picnic, folding chairs or blankets. In case of rain, the event will take place inside the Meetinghouse (no food or drink permitted inside.)
The public will be invited to make free-will donations and all collected monies will go to the Schooner Adventure.
The Gloucester Adventure, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit maritime historic preservation and educational organization. We are the stewards of the 1926 dory-fishing Schooner Adventure. Our mission begins with restoration and preservation in perpetuity of the National Historic Landmark Schooner Adventure, one of the last surviving Grand Banks dory-fishing schooners. The Schooner Adventure is a national treasure that has resumed active sailing as an icon of the American fisheries and as a floating classroom for maritime history and environmental education programs. The Schooner will be operated at sea, primarily along the New England coast, as a living monument to Massachusetts’ fishing heritage. As such, the Schooner Adventure is important not only to Gloucester, but also to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and all America. http://schooner-adventure.org/
