The beauty of Sunday’s freshly fallen snow from John Abisamra

Hi Joey
Hope all is well with you. Sunday’s snow storm was quick moving but for a few hours the beauty of the freshly fallen snow clinging to the trees and other objects was incredible. I am attaching 3 photos of the Gloucester area after the storm. The first is of the rising sun at the footbridge of Good Harbor Beach. The second is of the blue sky and red barn with snow clinging to the branches and the third is of buoys against a building with light coming through a window. Enjoy and please let me know when you decide to publish in Good Morning Gloucester.

Have a great day..Wednesday is supposed to be close to 70 ..go figure!!!

GHS Cheer Competition This Sunday!

Hi Joey!
The State Champion Gloucester High School Cheerleading team is hosting the North Eastern Conference competition this Sunday 2/25 at 4:30pm at the GHS field house. We would love it if you could spread the word so we can have the community come support us! These kids are amazing at what they do are are hoping to get another state title in a few weeks. Competitive Cheerleading is not well known to many, but this is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to see what these athletes can really do!
Thank you for the help!

Breakfast at home.

I added Dijon mustard on the eggs. Really yummy. The start of a new winter diet. I haven’t dieted in years. My goal- limit the empty carbs. No chips, pizza, candy, fries. Breakfasts like this.

Attention Breakfast Joints: Your Home Fries Are Either Crispy Or They Aren’t

It’s the barometer.

Soggy fries, soggy hash browns you get a demerit. It’s that simple.

Fire and Rice- Marco Island From Jim Masciarelli

Hello Gloucester! Hanging out down here at the Marco Island Farmer’s Market with Chef Paul Schmidgall (pictured in back right). For all the Gloucester folks who visit/winter down here, you have to try “Fire and Rice” when you see them at the market, or beach-side. His Paella is amazing and I’d love to see a franchise in Gloucester.

Chef Paul built his entire business on his Paella recipe that I am enjoying at the moment. Chef Paul attended Johnson & Wales and knows New England and Gloucester well. He sends his greetings. Right now it’s a balmy 81 degrees in beautiful Naples!

PS: thanks for keeping Gloucester in my heart every day
