What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient spiritual practice which helps to heal on physical, emotional and psychological level. In translation from Japanese language, Reiki means the Universal Life Force Energy. During a typical session, a client lies fully clothed on the massage table, while the practitioner slowly and systematically moves hands over the client’s body. Reiki brings deep relaxation, peace and general well being. Reiki helps to reduce stress, increase energy, lower heart rate and diastolic blood pressure. It facilitates to remove blockages in energy flow and the dispersal of toxins. Reiki helps the body in recovery after surgery and after chemotherapy.

What is Seichem?
Gentle healing energy similar to Reiki. In translation Seichem means Living Light Energy which empovers Reiki healing.

Am I missing Something Here? Just another of my Rants!

Am I missing Something Here?

Just my thoughts on this July 4th.

I read where America was built by Immigrants. Of course it was. No matter what our Ancestry we are all Immigrants.

I see the police notes of the communities around us with a number of Aliens (not the legal ones) breaking the laws of our country. I really can’t blame them for wanting to be part of our GREAT Country. From what I hear there’s no place like it! But!, do it legally! and obey our Laws!

Now I have myself wondering if I’m Legal! Gotta check that out before I post this.

I’m friends with two people. As much as I can be friends with anyone. Neta Goren and Shahar Bram. I met them when I did a post for Neta’s Rockport Art Show. These are two people who would be a very welcomed part of our Island community. Due to the Laws of the USA, They are not able to spend their FULL TIME here. Not sure what could be done for them to help out. I guess you have to be connected to some politician. I’m sure they’ll make it here. They just have to get thru all the paper work like any other LEGAL Immigrant. Which takes a lot of time. Here’s an example of Netas and Shahars Work. I hope they don’t mind my Fourth of July Rant!

YES! I knew it! Meditation Helps!

YES! I knew it! Meditation Helps!

All you Naysayers can kiss my…. Wait, deep breathe Paul, in in in in, now let it out.

 Ok continue;

The practice, which involves the continual repeating of a mantra, was found to reduce high blood pressure, cholesterol and thickening of the arteries. It is also protects against diabetes.

“This is a seminal finding,” said Dr Norman Rosenthal of the American government’s National Institute of Mental Health.

“The prevention of heart attack and stroke and actual lengthening of lifespan by an alternative

treatment method is exceedingly rare, if not unprecedented.

“If Meditation were a drug conferring so many benefits, it would be a billion-dollar blockbuster.” read more here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/8600889/Meditation-can-cut-heart-attacks-by-as-much-as-half.html

USS OAK HILL (LSD 51) (originally LSD 7)

Our History

Originally designated as APM-7, USS OAK HILL (LSD 7) was laid down in Oakland, California and commissioned on January 5, 1944, with Commander Carl A. Peterson in command. The ship was designed to serve as a cargo and transport type amphibious ship and as a floating drydock.

Following shakedown and amphibious training off Southern California, OAK HILL engaged in rehearsals for “Operation Forager”, the thrust into the Marianas Islands. With tank bearing transports and troops of the 2nd Marine Division on board, she operated in the transport area off Saipan from June 15-22, 1944. On August 12, OAK HILL, with tanks and soldiers of the 710th Tank Battalion embarked, headed for the Palau Operation at Guadalcanal. Departing the Palaus on August 21, she proceeded to New Guinea, arriving at Humbolt Bay on August 29, to prepare for the invasion of the Philippines.

On October 20, 1944, OAK HILL stood off Leyte Gulf and launched units of the 1st Cavalry Division toward White Beach. For the next two months she carried reinforcements from New Guinea to Leyte. On Christmas Day, she arrived at Morotai to prepare for the Lingayen Gulf offensive. CLICK BELOW FOR MORE ON THE; U.S.S. Oak Hill

Fort “Art, Rock!” Found!!

The “Art, Rock!” I was inspired to sketch by my Father was found Saturday at the Fort Playground.  Janey Brancaleone and her Dog Lola Were walking at the Fort Saturday when Lola sniffed Out the Rock under one of the Park Benches at the Playground. It’s a Beautiful and underated place to watch the Harbor action go by.

Art Critics can be Tough. But I think I passed Lola’s Art Test. She Sniffed the Rock out and didn’t Pee on it! what Artist could ask for more?  That will be the one Art review that I will cherish for a long Time! 🙂

Thanks Again Janey and Lola.
