Never Forget! December 7th 1941
Never Forget! December 7th 1941
“Just before 8 a.m. on December 7, 1941, hundreds of Japanese fighter planes attacked the American naval base at Pearl Harbor near Honolulu, Hawaii. The barrage lasted just two hours, but it was devastating: The Japanese managed to destroy nearly 20 American naval vessels, including eight enormous battleships, and almost 200 airplanes. More than 2,000 Americans soldiers and sailors died in the attack, and another 1,000 were wounded. The day after the assault, President Franklin D. Roosevelt asked Congress to declare war on Japan; Congress approved his declaration with just one dissenting vote. Three days later, Japanese allies Germany and Italy also declared war on the United States, and again Congress reciprocated. More than two years into the conflict, America had finally joined World War II.”

Adopt a Whale From Ocean Alliance for This Xmas.
From Amy Kerr;

“Buy a priceless gift that supports whales and ocean conservation.
Humpback Whales are among the best known and most loved of all whales. From their playful aerial behaviours, a delight of whale watchers around the world, to their haunting and mysterious songs, humpback whales capture the imagination of young and old alike.
Humpbacks are primarily identified by the distinct characteristics of the black and white pigmentation on the underside of their flukes (tails). This pattern is as unique as human fingerprints, and allows us to photograph this pattern, identify specific whales and determine their offspring. With Ocean Alliance, you do not only support one individual whale, but a whole family of whales! Five humpback matriarchs (female heads of families) are offered through our whale sponsorship program. These matriarchs have been chosen because they are consistently sighted with their growing families and have been since the early 1980’s. These families have endeared themselves to casual whale watchers and Ocean Alliance researchers alike.
Adopting a whale gives whale lovers an opportunity to share the unique experience of getting to know these very special individuals and their families. This winter buy a holiday gift that will keep on giving! Click on any of the items below to learn more!”

And now you can kiss my A$$ goodbye part 2 Goodbye GMG Nice knowing you. Hello Warm Sands!
This is why;
HELLO MY DEAR,
PLEASE I NEED YOUR assistance.
I want you to patiently read this offer. I am mrs. Victoria Yaron Mamadou, the wife to the deceased former Head of Delegation to the World Bank in West Africa. My husband was the linkman between the Organization for Petroleum Exporting Countries – OPEC and the petroleum sector in a West African country. He also attends OPEC meetings constantly in Geneva before his death caused by cardiac arrest in our home town.
Through the sale of our allocated oil quota in OPEC, he was able to make ($12.million USD) (TWELVE MILLION UNITED STATES DOLLARS)I want you to assist me to claim this money as i cannot claim it directly because he made the deposit as a fund belonging to his business associate in order not to raise eyebrow since he was a civil servant during that time, and the code of conduct bureau forbids him or his wife to acquire such amount of money. It is on this basis that I am contacting you for assistance, if you will be interested, claim documents will been processed and sent to you. The documents with which the fund is deposited will be amended to reflect you as the beneficiary so that you will be eligible to collect the fund as his business associate.
You shall be entitled to 30% of the total funds while the rest will be given to me on arrival in your country for the up keeping of my only son and for further investment under your kind control there in your country as I can not be able to do any investment here in West Africa due to the origin of the said fund. I will not fail to bring to your notice that this business is risk free and doesn’t have any negative implication. You should not entertain any fear as all modalities for the smooth and easy transfer of this fund have been finalized. If you can conveniently assure me of your ability to keep this business very secret and confidential, you can write back to me for further details. I am waiting for your fast mail as soon as you read this mail for more information.
Thanks and best regards to your family.
Yours Faithfully,
Mrs.Victoria Yaron.

Throwback Thursday: “You Gotta Love Him!”
My contribution for Throwback Thursday.
I did this post below back in February 2010. I used to bust Joey’s Balls a lot back when I first started Posting for GMG. I used to wait until Late at Night or when Joey went on his Winter vacations. GMG was a little different back then. I think I quit GMG Three times my first year after Joey started censoring my posts and comments that the “readers” might find offensive. What a kill joy. Well stay tuned. Joey’s vacation times start in about a month.
You Gotta Love Him!
No Matter What He’s Doing,
Joey’s Always Working Hard To Bring You Great Content!
Thanks Joey!

Fallen Soldiers Etched into the Sand on Normandy Beach
9,000 Fallen Soldiers Etched into the Sand on Normandy Beach to Commemorate Peace Day on September 25, 2013
This past weekend British artists Jamie Wardley and Andy Moss accompanied by numerous volunteers, took to the beaches of Normandy with rakes and stencils in hand to etch 9,000 silhouettes representing fallen people into the sand. Titled The Fallen 9000, the piece is meant as a stark visual reminder of the civillians, Germans and allied forces who died during the D-Day beach landings at Arromanches on June 6th, 1944 during WWII. The original team consisted of 60 volunteers, but as word spread nearly 500 additional local residents arrived to help with the temporary installation that lasted only a few hours before being washed away by the tide.
