Cinderella the musical runs Tuesday through Sunday this week! Don’t miss seeing some familiar locals in action!

Tickets are still available for this week’s performances of Cinderella by the Annisquam Village Players. Performances are at 7 p.m. nightly through Sunday, Aug. 11.

 

It’s a locally-based cast who have been working hard to learn lines and all the dance moves. Another example of the amazing talent we have in Gloucester and around Cape Ann. 

 

Tickets can be purchased via the AVP website, www.annisquamvillageplayers.org. Seats are going fast.

Margarita Monday At Jalapenos

It was time to return to Jalapenos on Main St and Margarita Monday seemed a perfect opportunity. I just love the frozen raspberry margarita there! So refreshing. We were surprised to find their back room full of people enjoying sea shanties. Apparently every other Monday the sea shanty group gathers for some fun and the place was packed. We ordered flautas and carne asada which we enjoyed very much as we always do. It’s one of those places you go and are made to feel welcome and “at home”. Perfect Margarita Monday adventure.

TSALTA is a 39.62 m Motor Yacht, built in the United States of America by Westport and delivered in 2004. She is one of 42 130 models.

Her top speed is 28.0 kn, her cruising speed is 24.0 kn, and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 3000.0 nm at 12.0 kn, with power coming from two MTU diesel engines. She can accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 staterooms, with 7 crew members waiting on their every need. She has a gross tonnage of 289.0 GT and a 8.23 m beam.

She was designed by William Garden, who has designed 26 other superyachts in the BOAT Pro database.

The naval architecture was developed by Westport, who has architected 62 other superyachts in the BOAT Pro database, and the interior of the yacht was designed by Sheryl Guyan (31 other superyacht interiors designed) and Pacific Custom Interiors (39 other superyacht interiors designed) – she is built with a Teak deck, a GRP hull, and GRP superstructure.

TSALTA is in the top 30% by LOA and in the top 30% by speed in the world. She is one of 1171 motor yachts in the 35-40m size range, and, compared to similarly sized motor yachts, her cruising speed is 5.68 kn above the average, her top speed 6.12 kn above the average, and her volume 21.27 GT above the average.

Kings Roast Beef On Main St For Lunch

I made my first stop ever at Kings Roast Beef on Main St for lunch a few days ago after hearing roaringly good reviews. I was not disappointed. We sat inside at tidy table set-ups and had a chicken salad club and an Italian wrap…. (no roast beef this time…). I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of items offered on the menu. It is definitely more than just roast beef, although that was clearly a popular order in the time we were there. Our sandwiches were fresh with generous portions. The service was friendly. It’s a win-win so give it a try especially if you haven’t already.

Family Concert! Fun for All Ages: Ants on a Log

On Monday, August 5 from 11:00 to 11:45 ameveryone is invited to enjoy a FUN FAMILY CONCERT featuring the award-winning band “Ants on a Long” performing music that centers positivity, social justice, and silliness. Full of humor and harmony, Ants concerts are energetic, interactive, and a delight for children and adults.
