I was fortunate enough to take a boat ride around “the Cape” with GMG’s ,Chris Langathianos, on his awesome Zodiac the other day. (click for video) It was just choppy enough going around the outside…and along the back shore… to make it exciting….then super flat once rounding Halibut Point. We stopped to see the seals off of Rockport and then, as hoped, stumbled upon three or four humpback whales uncommonly close to land. With a ton of bait fish present on the surface, it was no wonder the whales had found their way inside the bay. It was a phenomenal afternoon and another reminder, after a dreary start to our spring, that we are indeed so lucky to live on Cape Ann. Thanks, Chris!
