Gloucester—On May 5th, 2024, the Gloucester Writers Center hosts Irish-born author and expressive writing teacher, Áine Greaney to lead a workshop on writing for wellness.
The workshop is part of the Center’s spring programming series. You do not have to be a writer to join this May 5 session from 1pm – 4 pm, and the Center is located at 126, Main Street, East Gloucester.
Suggested fee is $50, and pre-registration is required at the website, Gloucesterwriters.org. Or register at the event page.
The workshop will cover areas such as setting up a regular and sustainable writing practice—even for those who are busy with work and family caregiver commitments. It will also look at the clinical evidence (300+ studies) that support the health benefits of emotional (expressive) writing. In addition to instructor-led group writing exercises and invitations for optional sharing, all registrants will receive a take-home list of resources.
