Kate and I are going to feature one or two local places to buy holiday gifts each day highlighting the fact that there’s no need to buy your presents online or trudge up to the mall.

The latest addition to the collection are Sea Glass Stepping stones for the garden. A few are available for sale, but most will be done by ordering for the Spring. Gift Certificates are available and custom work can be done if you have a favorite piece of sea glass you would like incorporated into the work. The designs have evolved based on unique finds over the years. Stop in for a cup of hot chocolate and join her in celebrating 20 years of making on Cape Ann.

Top Golf, Canton. Finn and his hockey team played at 9:00 on both Saturday and Sunday at the Rodman Arena next to Gillette Stadium. After winning a huge championship game (against an undefeated team) they wanted to celebrate at Top Golf right down the road in Canton. Such a fun spot….click on the whole post to see the desserts that they were maybe the most excited for…and use this link to learn more about Top Golf itself. https://topgolf.com/us/canton/

I’ve been hearing quite a bit about the fate of Apple St in Essex so I decided to take a ride to see this scenic roadway. I discovered a new (to me) trail and decided to explore a bit. The Warren Weld Woodland (say it 3 times fast) sits along Apple St and has a small parking area. The trail is leaf covered and surrounded by forest; though I did not go too far along the trail when I remembered I was alone and no one knew where I was! If you’re in a contemplative mood and need some time in the good old woods, I suggest taking the short ride and explore for yourself. I do not know what the residents will decided about Apple St but I expect to return to Warren Weld Woodland sometime soon!
