Adventure turns 97 on Saturday,  September 16. To commemorate her historic launching from the shipyard in Essex on the same date in 1926 we invite everyone to come on this sail and celebrate in style with us.

Enjoy musical entertainment by well-known folk artists Larry Young and John Roberts. Feast on Jeff’s Variety lobster rolls and other goodies including birthday cupcakes from Cake Ann. Festive beverages included. A cannon salute in honor of the Gloucester 400+ and the Taste of Cape Ann Raffle drawing will round out the fun! Don’t miss the boat, help us finish out the season with a bang!

Not Just Dahlias

The dahlias along the boulevard are looking spectacular and speak so well of the City and it’s citizens, many thanks always to the Generous Gardeners. But it’s not just the dahlias…..there’s amazing choreography to the selected plantings done each year and those deserve some applause and attention too. All of it seems to be more beautiful since Sept. 11 2001.
