Spent every day here as a child, Mom would pack us 4 kids with coolers chairs and umbrella then pick up our baby sitter, Janice,( Nicole Shraft’s MIL), and all load in our little VW Bug and spend the day. We would dig clams in the flats when Mom needed a break from watching us all in the water. I never see a photo of Wingaersheek that doesn’t remind me of a simpler time. Thanks for sharing the photo Catherine, beautiful!

  3. Pauline, thanks so much for giving us another picture with your comment. I think Wingaersheek is awesome! We liked boating there, too. And you have me thinking about my mother.

    Oh, and when I was little, my friend’s family played a car game for long drives–to Good Harbor, Wingaersheek, the other cape–A VW bug was 1 point and VW bus was double.
