An exhibition of photography by Jason Grow was held on Saturday. Rick and I went to the Opening reception on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Gloucester City Hall. This exhibit was amazing. The photography of Jason Grow was very emotional. Seeing these World War II veterans and thanking them was terrific. The World War II Veterans who were there were so moved and seemed very happy. It was wonderful to see so many people visiting this exhibition.

Jason, Thank For this Wonderful Tribute to Our Surviving WW2 Veterans. The joy and appreciation in their faces was beyond description; Old Buddies that haven’t seen each other for years, coming together, renewing quittances and reminiscing of times past.
I overheard more than one state “We need to get together again and often” Maybe our veteran agent or senior center could arrange
something. This was a tremendous undertaking. The outcome was outstanding. Gratitude and appreciation to all involved for an old Navy Veteran, Robert McKinnon. .

This is an exhibition that everyone will want to see – the portraits are really wonderful and it’s beautifully installed. What a great use of this public space and how wonderful to see our community come together during the opening in celebration of the women and men from our greatest generation. I was so touched by Jason’s remarks during the event today, so poetic and heartfelt was his expression of the gratitude we owe to each and everyone who served. These photographs are a lasting, compelling testament to this. Congratulations, Jason, and with thanks.
