Andrew’s Point Sunrise.

I’m going to try to post photos and stories of things that I have seen in the past few days but for a week or so I might have to cheat and use some older stuff:

Andrew’s Point at sunrise on September 27:

I liked this one because of the pink cloud a third of the way up above the sun. Doesn’t it look like a lobster?  This pic is also a test of how this site handles large photos. This one was trimmed to just under a megabyte which hopefully resides behind the thumbnail with a click of the mouse.

That’s all for this cub reporter today since as I drove to work today in my truck munching on my breakfast sandwich I think I threw a rod. (Can I have a pound of whatever you’re grinding there?) 160 thousand might be the last mile on that puppy. The Ford Focus rental is kind of snazzy.

  1. Beautiful picture. I know how breaking down feels. Saturday when I was in Gloucester with my friend Zig, he took the A there (29 Ford). Hi did the frame and made and welded on the motor mounts himself. He just got back from the Vermont Nationals a while ago and had no problem and takes the thing all over. Well Saturday was another story. We were leaving Gloucester to head to Beverly and we made one stop before heading to Beverly. We stopped at Wingersheek Beach. (by the way there’s a lobster trap there with the tag saying Pete Shea on it. It’s half buried, saw it at low tide) When we went to leave, oh oh. Broken motor mount and the engine shifted a couple of inches. I said to Jig looks like there’s a nick in the bottom radiator hose. Sure enough, the fan blade was resting on the hose. Tally’s Hookers to the rescue. I like writing Hookers after Tally’s O.K. Just like on the truck. It wasn’t the weld that broke. It was the mount itself. Needless to say, I swear Jiggy was hitting every hole down there. Getting on 128 from 114 was bumpy. I wanted to say to him that if he turned the wheel just a little that he could go around them but I decided to keep my mouth shut. Maybe I should of spoke up. And yes, that does look like a lobster. Very good.
