Of all the things you do on your blog these “zen” videos are my favorite. It is such a poignant reminder that no matter what we are doing, work goes on down on the fish pier. Good work!
No wonder the gulls go nuts!

Joe, I hope this is BAIT and not people food! Yuck… birds landingon it, pecking away on it, and relieving themselves on it; the guy shoveling it up from the “roadway” and into the barrels, etc. Please, please tell me it’s bait, and if so…. where is it all going?

Yep Karen, that is bait.
I’m not sure who he barrells are for. In Maine a lot of lobstermen use barrells. Around here a good majority of the bait is lugged around in fish totes.

My hat’s off to the the man barreling the fish. Now that’s a job that goes unappreciated. He doesn’t miss a beat even with all the gulls swooping. He has totally earned my respect and admiration.
