The Old Empire Fish, originally uploaded by captjoe06.
This fish company used to employ many many workers in this huge building. Now through innovations in the fishing industry like Transvac Herring pumps and herring conveyor hoppers, hundreds of thousands of pounds of fish can be unloaded in the fish company by two people. The herring plant here on Harbor loop operates with two, count em two employees. Incredible.

My father Eddie Todd worked at Empire Fish as a Fish cutter for many years, He worked along Neil Burke, Donkey Frazier, Sonny Manger, and many more, although I do not know all because I used to work on the Whiting belt, thats why I hate fish or any seafoods , because I would spend the day working the belt onlt to get home and find the same fish itting on my supper plate. I also used to shine shoe when I was younger. Bill Gross was my best customer, along with Iggy Columbo up in the office. I also used to shine Ted Williams shoes , he was my fathers boss, along with his brother Bill Williams who was in charge of the Freezer.
I am not sure if I will get the names of the boats that took out there but my wifes father was a cook on the Emily Brown, and I believe the Curlew. My uncle owned the Eva 2nd. hope I got it right , and my cousin was Carlo ‘ Bronco ‘ Sinagra may he R.I.P .
My biggest problem is I have short term memory, but I can remember far back. I close for now, but will try to post again in the near future
