We saw a sweet Snowy Owl on the dunes. The Snowy was far away and the sun was going down but did get a photo. She looked so pretty sitting there. There was also a pretty woodpecker doing what they do.

Hi Joey: I had a woodpecker fly into my window on Saturday. I hydrated
him and guess what, after several minutes he gladly flew away. Yeah!

Ravenswood Woodpecker From Bill O’Connor
Hi Joey,
My son and I took a walk through The Trustees of Reservations’ Ravenswood Park today and we came across this woodpecker that was eating the snow. I thought it was pretty funny because I’ve never seen this behavior from a bird, but it makes better sense than having to fly to the nearest water supply to have a drink!
