Tonight! Brian Templeton @ The RhumbLine’s Dave Sag’s Blues Party 8:30pm 10.29.2015
Dave says,
It’s been a long time to have Mr. Brian Templeton missing in action, but, we got ’em this week! A big bear of a man, his songwriting, vocalisms, and harp playing are the stuff dreams are made of. Very impressive! Worse, he’s bringing along a fab nose-busting guitarist in the form of Mr. Billy Loosigian . Long a staple in the Boston scene, his hydrochloric style is sure to get your blood pumping. Add Mr. Dave Mattacks, the Atomic Clock, to the mix, and will wonders never cesium! I’m really looking forward to this and hope I can return to normal by Saturday. Do come! you won’t regret! Ask your yoga instructor if the Blues Bash is right for you.

Dave B and the Hot Shots Making their debut tonight @ The Dog Bar 10.24.2015
This is a tight 4 or 5 piece jump and R&B band – they’ve been together for over 20 years, and this is their first appearance in Gloucester!
Show em some love!
Dave B and the Hot Shots
This 5 piece group performing authentic interpretations of vintage R&B Jump Blues/New Orleans music from the late ‘40s through the mid ‘60s, was formed in the early ‘90s and retains three of it’s original members, Dave Birkin – sax/vocals, Mark Shelford – guitar/vocal, and Ken Steiner – acoustic bass/vocal. The current line up also includes Richard Malcolm – drums, and Jim Heffernan – keys.
In the early to mid ‘90s the group worked steadily in Fanuil Hall Market place at Cricket’s and The Marketplace Café. The group became active again in the mid 2000’s. For the past 2 ½ years the band has enjoyed a residency at a Worcester club “The Sahara” and semi-annual stints for Swing City in Somerville and Cambridge.

“Sax” Gordon @ The Dave Sag’s Blues Party…The joint will be jumpin at The Rhumb Line tonight! 8:30-11:30pm 10.15.2015
Dave says,
We’re going to reach terminal velocity this week, so if you got plans to stay home and iron your underwear, better go to confession and plan on destroying your liver instead.
Firstly, Mr. Gordon “Sax” Beadle returns to the Rhumb Line stage this Thursday. My favorite guest star, if you haven’t seen or heard of him, you must crawl out from under that rock that you’ve been hiding and put on your sailing shoes! This guy will tear your tonsils out with his own unique brand of saxophone mayhem. Always gets the crowd going wild. Not only that, but Ed “Ed” Scheer, my favorite four-on the-floor frontman and drummbler, will be holding down the beat and handling vocal duties. Furthermore, Mr. Pete Henderson makes a rare appearance as a foil and catarrhist of note. I can’t wait!

Tonight! Danielle Miraglia joins The Dave Sag’s Blues Party @ The Rhumb Line 8:30-11:30pm 10.01.2015
This Thursday at the Rhumb Line,I’m really bubbling over due to the return of Ms. Danielle Miraglia. You’re in for a treat! She was here once before and afterwards Fred had to scrub the ceiling to get the footprints off. She’s a really great singer. And she’s bringing along an intense melange of players.
First, there’s Mr. Blob Enik, spluttering paint-by-numbers glitarist, who often works with Mari Martin or even Madhouse. Then there’s Mr. Jim Gambino,,of Swinging Steaks fame, as our speculative multi-fingered keyboard whiz.Thumping handled by a truly great drummer, Mr. Steve Bankuti. I’ll be wheezing in the corner, trying to keep up. A truly magical night.Hours: 8:30 to 11:30.

Professor Harp This Thursday @ The Rhumb Line’s Dave Sag’s Blues Party ~ 8:30-11:30pm 9.10.2015
Dave says,
We’re practicing Mindful Chaos this Thursday with the return of the affable Mr. Professor Harp. He was here a few months back and just riveted the crowd with his intense souped-up brand of Chicago blues. He’s got gizmos on his harmonica that make sounds like electric razors or garage door openers or even psionic kazoos. It’s mesmerizing!
Tagging along will be that fabulous glitarist and horseshoe champ, Mr. Mike DiBari. A wonder in itself! Breast beating by our favorite bald-headed eggbeater, Mr. Steevee Chaggaris. Gonna be a swell time in Fishtown. Will cure moderate to severe rambunction.

Thursday night blues party tonight! Steve Sadler, Jimmy Scoppa and Jeff Casper 8:30pm @ The Rhumb Line. 9.3.2015
Dave says,
It’s Guitarzan week this Thursday as two of the finest guitarists on my list come together for a great night of wailing and gnashing of teeth. Firstly, there’s the commodious Steve Sadler who really belts it out.

Then there’s Jimmy Scoppa who really belts it out. They fuse with great zzzing and dripping. Top it off with the twitching of Mr. Jeff Casper, the friendly drummer and myself on the low end and We’re really gonna stir it up!

Dave Sag’s Blues Party Tonight with Scotty Shetler @ The Rhumb Line 8:30-11:30pm 8.27.2015
Dave says,
This Thursday I’m really psyched to bring you something new and scrofulous: The Tenor Titan, Mr. Scotty Shetler. We played here in the “old” days and he just slipped through my cracks. Ah, all these years…. You gotta hear this guy play! He just oozes Omphalos! Sings, too. A great front man!
Not only that, but Mr. Pete Henderson, lonely in these parts, is making a rare appearance on catarrh and vocals. Another awesome boost to our flame-throwing lineup.Top it all off with the Atomic Clock, Mr. David Mattacks with me cringing in the background and you’ll be crying “Uncle!”. This could be one of the best shows all summer!

Diane Blue Tonight! Dave Sag’s Blues Party 8:30pm @ The Rhumb Line 7.30.2015
Dave says,
A major chunk of the Boston blues scene is gonna come crashing on your head this Thursday night, as I welcome back the Octomom® of the Blues: Ms. Diane Blue. The Divine Miss B has been busy and to show appreciation, she’s dragging in some of the top players around. The corpus delicti consists of Mr. Bobby Gus, glitar wunderkind and general ding dong daddy, Mr. Joe Bargar keyboard arachnid and swelling reducer, and the fabulous Mr. Steve Bankuti, algorhythmist, on the skins. This is a dangerous band. I’m wearing my truss. Ask your doctor if the blues Bash is right for you.

Dave Sag’s Blues Party at The Rhumb Line To Host Andrew Clark This Week! 8:30 pm July 16, 2015

Why not c’mon down to the Rhumbline this Thursday and dance your ass off to the pimple-popping sounds of that Tootin’ Torquemada of the Tenor: Mr. Andrew Clark. With his erumpent vocal shenanigans and ventricle-atomizing saxophone, there’ll be plenty to talk to your therapist about on your next visit. I’m making an appointment now. Not only that but Mr. Steve Sadler, on catarrh, will be sandbagging the groove with the likes of Mr. Ephraim Lowell, on the jackhammers. Gonna be a great night!
