Please join us for the sixth annual Cape Ann Classic Cars on the Green on Saturday September 20th, from 10am to 2pm in front of the Gloucester Unitarian Universalist Church, GPS 50 Middle Street, Gloucester. The rain date for the event is on Sunday, September 21st from 1-5pm.

This is a delightful free event for the whole family with beautiful classic vintage and special interest cars on display. The audience votes in nine categories for the trophy winners, including the coveted “Best in Show.” A 50/50 raffle will be included to add to the excitement of the event as well as tours of the historic Meetinghouse! If you are interested in showing your classic car, register ($20) at the entrance or in advance (recommended as space is limited) by emailing: c.nazarian@gloucestermeetinghouse.org.

Admission to the public is free but donations to the Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation for the ongoing building restoration are greatly appreciated! We hope to see you at this fun filled fall event!

SECOND ANNUAL CLASSIC CAR SHOW COMES TO MIDDLE STREET
Cape Ann Classic Cars on the Green – Fun for the Whole Family

The Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation announces the second annual Cape Ann Classic Cars on the Green to be held on Saturday, September 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the grand allee of the Gloucester Meetinghouse. This early fall show attracts a variety of classic cars and dedicated aficionados to a fun-filled event with food vendors and live Dixieland music provided by John’s Giddy Gang.

Members of the audience will be invited to vote for their favorite classic car and prizes will be awarded in a number of categories at the conclusion of the event.

The Gloucester Meetinghouse is located in Gloucester’s Historic District at the corner of Church and Middle Streets. The show is handicap accessible. Tours of the Meetinghouse will be held on the hour and will include performances on the historic 1893 Hutchings-Fisk pipe organ.

Cape Ann Classic Cars on the Green is free and open to the public. Donations to the Meetinghouse Restoration Project will be gratefully received. Car owners who are interested in showing their classic vehicles may register at the entrance for $10 or in advance by emailing c.nazarian@gloucestermeetinghouse.org. In the event of rain, the show will be held the following day on Sunday, September 29 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Gloucester Meetinghouse Invitational, October 13th, car show to benefit Meetinghouse renovation

The opening event in the Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation’s 2018-19 Concert & Lecture Series is a vintage car show, to be held on the green at the corner of Church and Middle Street from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday, October 13th.  The event is free to the public but a $5 donation per adult is requested.  A set of over 30 very special classic cars will be on display.  Car owners are asked to pre-register at info@gloucestermeeinghouse.com with a suggested contribution of $25.  There will a Dixieland style band, ‘John’s Giddy Gang,’ food & refreshments vendor, and tours of the Meetinghouse with a demonstration piece on the 1893 Hutchings-Fisk pipe-organ.  This first annual Invitational event benefits the ongoing preservation of the historic 1806 Meetinghouse as a civic hub, entertainment venue and community center.  The audience will judge the cars in 9 categories, including Best in Show.
